What do you think are the characteristics of your personal writing style? Would others agree?

I have no idea how I would describe my writing style, do I have a style? Mostly I just have the key scenes in my head and then I play connect the dots to make them all work together. And hope my characters don’t drag me another direction (that happens more often than it should)

judgement: what do you typically judge a person by when first meeting them?

Hypocritically, I often immediately dismiss people if they are loud or brash. I am loud and often speak without thinking, so I should learn to be a little less judgemental about that. 

temperance: what is something you cant resist?

Going to see the water when I get close to a body of it. Even in the dead of winter, I have to go down to the shore and stand next to it.

Iruka/Tobirama headcanons:

Can I just say how much I adore this pairing? They are one of my fave rarepairs, and I especially love the artwork @dahtwitchi makes for them.

Anyway - Tobirama is first drawn to Iruka because for his love of children and teaching, his intellect and sharp, witty humour. Sure, he finds Iruka attractive but it's the non physical things that truly seal the seal for him.

Same for Iruka. Also, where other people see a cold, uncaring and sarcastic person, Iruka sees through all of that for who Tobirama really is - someone who cares greatly about others but isn't sure how to express it. The man is passionate, and Iruka is one of the first to truly see that.

Both enjoy reading and learning, and in their spare time, you'll often find them at home together in their own personal library, cuddled up on the sofa together quietly reading or excitedly sharing with one another something new they've learned.

They're not a fan of PDA, but in private, both are very tactile. Lots of touches, kisses, cuddles, hand holding and soft smiles.

Carnegie and Houghton, writer asks?

carnegie: what authors and/or books/stories have inspired you to write or influenced your work?

ooh this is a little tough bc I don’t read nearly as much as I’d like bUT 

Brian Jacques is like...the reason I started writing (my first finished piece of writing was essentially Redwall fanfic lmao) and LOTR definitely formed kinda the base of my narrative understanding/knowledge 

and I think poets tend to influence how I write more? so some of my faves are Pablo Neruda and Emily Dickinson, as well as contemporary poets like @lostcap and my sister

houghton: what’s something you love that people compliment your pieces on?

this feels very arrogant but like...the human nuances? Like I love when people comment about the little details that make characters feel grounded and real and the descriptions that make them *feel* what’s happening. It makes me really happy :’)

Uhei, Bull, and Bisuke eventually wander in from their perch on his bed to settle by his side, noses freezing as they seek out his company. It’s so much easier with them, because they take what he has to give and multiply it tenfold. There’s no worrying that they’ll reject him, no worrying that they don’t feel the same, because they don’t feel in the same way Iruka does.

It’s what he loves about them, but he can’t help the way he craves something more.

Something to fill the space he’s carved out for another person inside his chest.

Set in a modern au and features two love sick idiots who are pining after one another. Our adorkable boys are both trans in this, along with autistic Kakashi which, as always from this author, are written beautifully.

Favorite character to write?

I would have to say Iruka. There are just so many layers to his character that I feel a lot of people don't see nor consider. Most see him as a very simple, shallow character. But he has got layers. Especially my vision/characterization of him.

He's interesting to me and reminds me a little of myself. How, despite going through trauma, he hasn't let it sour him and he still has empathy for others/wants to help. He's not perfect - he is flawed like the best of us and that makes him fun and interesting to write.

maple - is there a hobby / skill that you’ve always wanted to try but never did?

Martial arts. 

fireside - if you had your dream wardrobe, what would it look like?

Like the heroine of a gothic romance but the part where she’s running down the hall in the middle of hte night in a shift and a cloak with her hair all wild and her chest heaving and her silk slippers sliding against the carpet.
