LeeAnn the Lemur!

I got this diva a long time ago and fell in love with her long, stripy tail! (Probably why I like raccoon tail streaks now /silly /j.) I had previously re-named her “Tails” (like from Sonic!!)

I didn’t know until today that she was (technically) a girl! (Disclaimer: Beanie Boos can have any or no gender if you want since they’re just plush toys, but TY does tend to have “canonical” genders for some beanies. At the end of the day, it’s all about fun so it doesn’t really matter either way.)

LeeAnn came out on January 1st, 2017! She has a red swing/heart tag ^-^

Her birthday is December 5th, and her poem reads:

“I like to play with my brother who's older, We roll on the snow hills when it gets colder!”

How do you draw the Thea sisters super well? I can barely draw a mouse when you are drawing a comic

Short answer: I've had oh god five years of practice drawing mice, with my earliest attempts starting late 2020, so I had a lot of time to trial-and-error my way to what I have now haha

Long answer (Be warned, I get really rambly below the cut, I'm dumping my animation school knowledge on you lmao):

So as I said, this took me several years of trial and error to get to this point-- as an example, this is a timelapse-y thing of snouts I've drawn over the years

Longer montage than I was initially intending, but in general snouts are the biggest barrier of entry for artists entering the fandom by far. Mouse feet? Sure, just make the feet bigger and clompy with three toes. Four-fingered hands? Can take getting used to, but you'll figure it out. Snouts?? Six years of doing art and I'm still trying to wrap my brain around them :D

The canon illustrations aren't the most helpful either, because anyone who tries to do anatomy studies on the illustrations in either Geronimo or Thea Stilton books would find out really quickly that they have a Classic Sonic head thing going, where they really want their good sides to shine and can and will defy the laws of physics to make that happen. It's very cartoonist-y, which uh if you're someone who's more used to realistic proportions when drawing (or just trying to get your foot through the fandom door with drawing mice), you'll be in a world of pain for the first bit ':D

When you're starting out you don't really have to adhere super-closely to anatomy-- some of us do, I lean more anatomy-logical and @2deadkat's taken the extra mile by basing his designs of the GS and TS cast off of how irl mice/rat snouts are proportioned-- but most of us literally just fuck around and find out with the foundations that the books and graphic novels give us, and as time goes on, you get into a groove with it where at the very least you can see where something looks off, and that's where you'll have to fistfight the temptation to delete your previous month's work and purge it from reality haha don't do it 🫵 you'll do it and then fast forward a year you'll be regretting not being able to look back on it to see how much you've improved 🫵🫵🫵🫵

But yeah, whether you go more realistic, more cartoony (most extreme example is @soda-gremlin since he draws mice fully leaning into classic Sonic logic haha), or more closely to the canon artstyle like @rye-bread08, either way, what matters is what ends up working for you, and how much you're enjoying your growth as you practice ^^

And hey if nothing else, it's better than AI :}

Edit: I lowkey forgot that I actually have an answer to the question I was meaning to address lmao, the key is in shapes :} if you've noticed me drawing a circle/cone sticking out of the lower half of a drafted head, that's what that is. Breaking things down into shapes almost always makes things way easier to visualize, and it's one of the first skills you learn when drawing with good reason ^^
