Sonnet 18
The Night
Friday 10 o'clock night at full moon sky
The cool breezing wind that feels in my skin
And in the flowing tears begin to dry
You say we will get this through thick and thin
My heart beats fast and my feel feels nothing
The promise that we won't hurt no one
Saw her eyes, lying on the floor breathing
You told me that she was the only one
You said no one will know this crime about
You pick the gun and pull the trigger
And I was too naive to help you out
The bullet in her head and run together
Too late, roaring red and blue lights stop by
It's the last time we did and say Good bye.
Sonnet 18
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed: But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st; Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. —William Shakespeare
