thinking about how pete and sonny would always be that playful, competitive couple. even when they’re in their late twenties / early thirties. they’d both be ready for marriage / the next step in their relationship and they would have talked about it together, but naturally they make a competition out of it.

who can propose to who first? they both rally all of their friends, trying to get them on their team and trying to get as much help as they can so they can be the first to pull off an epic proposal. that’s the catch - they can’t just propose in anyway in order to be the first one, it still has to be right, be special.

it ends up taking a couple of months, and pete ends up winning - though they both have a ring to give to each other. the proposal takes place on an anniversary of theirs, and consists of a beautifully painted mural, fireworks, and all of their friends and family being there to celebrate with them. sonny would never tell anyone this, but he was secretly really hoping pete would win the competition, and he was so glad that he did.

not people criticising sonpete being cut while criticising the age gap between daniela and carla - 

sonny and pete might only have a 3 year age gap in the film, but they couldn’t make them canon because of the backlash that would come with a 15 year old dating a legal adult. not to mention, noah, despite being 18 (i’m almost certain), he looks a little older bc of his facial hair, which would honestly look even worse for those who didn’t know.

carla and daniela only have 10 years difference between their actors ??? a 40 year old and a 50 year old dating isn’t an issue ??? even though i do headcanon carla as younger than that, even then, two people who are 18+ can have a healthy relationship no matter the age gap (unless there’s a weird power dynamic) which IS NOT THE CASE WITH DANIELA AND CARLA

if you’re okay with sonny (a minor) and pete (an adult) dating, but you’re uncomfortable with carla (an adult) and daniela (an adult) dating, then just fucking say you hate lesbians and go lmfao
