Espio and his interests…

Been in a bit of a rut with art atm… this is my first attempt at alight motion

Espio: *standing in the corner of the room while everyone else is paired up and acting romantic with each other (they're all wine drunk)*

Sonic: *speeds over* "Damn, you don't have someone either?"

Espio: "Silver's here."

Sonic: "Yeah, with Blaze."

Espio: "... Shadow's here."

Sonic: "With Amy."

Espio: "..." *sigh* "Correct."

Sonic: "... Sooooo... You swing that way?"

Espio: "That is also correct."

Sonic: "..."

Espio: "..?"

Sonic: "😏"

Espio: "How the hell did you make the sound with your mouth?"

Sonic: "Would you rather me do something else with my-"

Espio: *exasperated* "Just take me upstairs."

Sonic: "Awesomesauce."

Espio: "Nevermind."

Sonic: "Wait no please."

I wonder if like anyone knows if Espio can swim or not. Because as far as I’m aware there has never been an instance showcasing he can.

I personally have always headcanoned he can’t swim. But keeps that secret because he wants no weakness of his to be known.

And I can maybe imagine a scenario where like Sonic finds out about this fact. How he does is maybe he picked up on how Espio will flat out avoid water. Or something else I dunno.

And Sonic being someone who also can’t swim, tries to sit down and talk with Espio about it. Who at first of course tries to deny it.

But Sonic ends up having a nice conversation, and they get to bond over both of them not knowing how to swim. And how they hate being near water and feel embarrassed around other people who can.

Espio clams up afterwards, since he realizes he was way too vulnerable for his liking. With Sonic not minding and just asking Espio before he leaves if he ever wanted to borrow his life jacket.

Espio just mumbles a maybe, which Sonic laughs and says “I’ll take that as a yes. See around buddy!”

With Espio left there to ponder over what they talked about.
