So, I saw the opthalmologist on Saturday-
(crowd laughs because I've warmed you up enough that you'll laugh at anything right now)
- he agreed that I have a corneal ulcer (🤢) and prescribed heavy duty eyedrops to treat it
So he's writing out this prescription and asks me if I'm 'allergic to anything?'
"Lidocaine"
My man does a double take, then stares at me with the wonder of a child in Christmas - 'what happens to you?'
"Mm, I throw up violently and then black out"
Guy is processing this. 'What, how did you even find that out?'
"Well, you know how I told you I have chronic migraines?"
*nod nod*
"So my neuro gave me an occipital nerve block and I almost immediately started feeling sick. Then I felt like I was gonna throw up, then I DID throw up and then I blacked out"
My guy, dutifully writing it down 'well, that's a first'
Then he sent me downstairs ringer a prescription from a pharmacy that was closed, long story short, I gotta go to opthalmology at a different hospital in a couple days to check the eyedrops aren't making it worse
I'm so TIRED
Disability is a full time job and it comes with PAPERWORK.
