spent 2 days giving myself box braids and genuinely thought i wasn't making it to campus today 。・(つд`。)・。
but i survived, got my matlab code sent to my advisor, wore a fit i felt pretty in, and somehow made it through the day !!
tomo is first day of summer courses, wish me luck !! (’-’*)♪

today i had a bit of a late start, so it took me almost an hour to get to uni due to traffic lol. the good news is i finally figured out why my standard deviation bars were wrong on my plots ive been creating recently, my advisor and i were so confused but it makes sense now.
i also got to meet one of my advisor’s former phd students (from like a decade ago!) who is now doing gene repair work in airway stem cells from cystic fibrosis patients. it was so cool hearing about his path. my biggest takeaway was to always keep a growth mindset when thinking about career steps + experiments.
quick little doom-scroll + reflection break before i head back to the lab ˖♡
