YAY I’m so glad to see another fragmem writer after a bit of a fandom drought and yess the do it yourself thing im seeing a lot of writers revive with that!! I would totally join but the few times I’ve tried I cannot get to a point of satisfaction when I read my own work so I’m so grateful for anyone who shared their work with the community…also based off your layout I’m assuming you’re also a Louter fan which is brings me joy in so many ways you don’t even know…

And my mistake!! I got too used to reading series that also use interlude so I probably misconstrued it but if you ever write more Louter (or stella twins/other frag content for that matter) I will be the first to eat it up

I seriously can’t put into words how happy I am to have discovered you especially since I feel like my faves aren’t usually the most popular so they don’t get as much attention like this literally made my year and all the years of lurking in the tag worth it sorry my word choice is not conveying this strongly enough but tldr you may or may not be my savior and I also just wanna throw out there that I love the angle you took on that oneshot and the characterization was so so good!!!!! I’ve already reread it like three times it’s sustaining my life anyways can’t wait to see what else you have in store I will be here supporting you through it all!!!

i completely understand what you mean by "not reaching a point of satisfaction"!! thats how i tend to feel with everything i write too huhu. i tend to overthink every single sentence i write like. "does this make sense" or "does this sound weird". its partially why i started this blog in the first place! i wanted to start writing because it always seemed so fun when other people would do it, so i made this blog to share my little word vomits to whoever wants to read it without putting too much pressure on myself hehe,,, AND I ALSO!! ALSO!! GET NOT HAVING A LOT OF THINGS TO READ ABOUT YOUR FAVE BECAUSE THEY ARENT POPULAR!! its another reason why i started this blog!! you might notice it when i post more, but im aiming to write for characters/fandoms i love but dont see a lot of content for!! because i love them lots and writing for them makes me happy, and i know someone else would like to read about their fave too!!

at least, thats how i felt before i started writing,, lots of,, opening the same 5 tags hoping for content after waiting for like 2 days,,, hoping that anyone would post anything,, no matter if its "bad" or "good",,

I know I'm a broken record but like. I wish that Nisa had had a much more important part in Maya's story in echoes. Losing her, to me, marked the very beginning of her endless spiraling, of her obsession. While locating the vex node in which Maya tells Chioma she's reminiscing about what they had to leave behind, you can tell how broken her voice is, how hurt she is. And when she tells Chioma that there are no sunrises on Neptune, only twilight, it only reinforces how she's already crumbling.

But just .. stop here for a second. Imagine finally putting all that unethical science (that will probably haunt you forever) behind you for good, focusing on doing what's right, promising never to be separated from your wife again. When feeling stable enough, conceiving a baby daughter with your wife, through parthenogenesis and with all the love in the world. Bickering over her name, monitoring her and making sure she's healthy and safe. Probably preparing her bedroom, buying clothes, toys and plushies. Painting a beautiful, colourful mural next to her crib. Planning, discussing. Joking about having to stay in shape to run after her, promising not to be too overprotective when she grows older.

Imagine being forced to leave, being literally forced to let your daughter die in her incubation pod, and being powerless about it. Imagine not being able to even say goodbye.

Imagine arriving on a planet you know knowing about, having to rebuild a life from scratch. Imagine having a team looking up to you for directions and guidance, and having to put up a front and remain professional for everybody's sake. Then imagine losing them all. The one thing you thought you had at least gotten right.

Imagine being torn between the possibility of a glimpse of hope, of fixing all this mess with a potential heavy cost, and the love of your life begging you not to. Imagine sacrificing what little you have left hoping to succeed, and when you finally, finally do succeed, you're met with rejection. Your wife doesn't recognise you anymore. The metaphor of hooking all those dead exos to the veil, forcing life into them, doesn't it ring a painful bell? Doesn't it tell you something about that grief you never got to express? Aren't you still trying to save the daughter you know you will never save?

Then, what is left for you now? What is left of you?

I’m sorry but I just really needed to rant and I didn’t really care enough to switch which blog I’m on.

I’m sorry. But I can’t fucking decide when I’m mentally strong, okay?! I’m certainly not strong enough to fucking power through it every fucking time! And I wish you’d fucking try. You’re always “explaining“ shit about others who are mentally ill / disabled and speak so fucking sympathetically and shit (sometimes) but. Oh no.. I’m not allowed to have fucking episodes. I’m not allowed to not be on top of mt shit. I can’t slip up. I can’t be my disabled and fucking imperfect self. Hell, maybe you just fucking ignore it because it’s inconvenient for you but you know what?! Some days I absolutely cannot get out of bed. Some days I’m so fucking physically anf mentally exhausted, I really think I could sleep forever. Sometimes I don’t have the fucking energy to get myself essentials like food and water let alone fucking clean the apartment and shit (which is a whole separate inner battle with my fucking OCD and Mysophobia). Some of the easiest fucking things are really fucking hard for me. But whatever. I’d be wasting my fucking breath explaining this AGAIN.
