I'm writing a fic (Pitt/AK/ER crossover) in which Rabbot isn't established as it begins, but Jack and Robby have known each other for seven years, and, in fact, Jack was introduced to Robby (outside of work) via Caleb (who has been Robby's friend since they were in Hebrew school together) and Jack, in present time, still wonders why he did that
Caleb, if only Jack decided to ask: you, my friend, are a big homosexual destined to become robbysexual
and really, poor long suffering Caleb, every time he sees them together there is a Sponge Bob's voice going off in his head, like, "one thousand years later", as he wonders when one of them will finally get it together long enough to realize/confess his feelings
(it's been seven years)
(sometimes he wonders if he should set them up on a blind date)
(Robby is well aware of his feelings, Jack is oblivious)
(Caleb has had to hear Robby talk his ear off about Jack for seven years, and it doesn’t matter how many times he implies Jack might in fact be receptive to Robby’s feelings, it flies straight above Robby’s head, it is so much worse than when Robby had his first irl male crush and freaked out)
(Jack is even worse in that he doesn't even realize he feels differently for Robby than for literally anyone else, but he has some extenuating circumstances because he is still thinking about his late husband and how he has never felt the same kind of love since he passed away)
(but still, it's been seven years, he can't take this anymore)
(someone free my man)
