Summary: For some bizarre reason, Nick Wagner still has you listed as his #1 emergency contact. So when you're on your way to meet your fiancé David for dinner, you get the call that Nick Wagner is in critical condition, you drop everything.

You had just gotten off the phone with David, your soon to be husband, when your phone lit up with a call from California Hospital Medical Center. You picked up right away, the words that drifted next made you change course as you sped your way through traffic to be sure to be the first one allowed in room 219. Why did this room matter? Some may ask. Well you had just gotten the worst news ever, your best friend, your best friend from childhood; who also happened to be your ex boyfriend had been found stabbed on a park bench by a friend of his.

David waited at the restaurant as every single call he made went to voicemail, he was worried sick. He waited for two hours only to be disappointed when you failed to show up. He was driving past California Hospital Medical Center when he saw your car in the emergency parking lot.

He paid for parking, before hurrying inside. He asked for your name only to be told that you had checked in about 3 hours ago looking for a man. A man who you told David to never worry about because you and said man were done. A man who you dropped everything for while he waited for you to call him back. That so called man was also your ex, the one who you were sure would propose to you only for him to dump you. That man was Nick Wagner Jr.

You were coming out Nick's room when you saw David. "Oh David, I'm so sorry, I got the call and I forgot to text you." You state as you go to hug him. "I called you 14 times, 14! And you didn't answer a single one of them!" David exclaims. "My phone's dead, I guess I forgot to charge it this afternoon before I left for our date." You state rubbing your arms forgetting that Nick had offered you his jacket even though he was high on pain meds and wouldn't remember a single thing. "That's his jacket, oh my god, I'm so stupid." David states. "David, he offered it to me because I was cold." You state going to touch David's shoulder but David slaps your hand away. "I'm done, enjoy your life with that man. We're over." David states as he storms off.

Nick Wagner wakes up to her sitting by his bed, with her hands over her face, body shaking with sobs. "Mmm." He groans as he rubs his thumb weakly over knuckles. "David dumped me." She states her voice wavering before she breaks. "He didn't deserve you." Nick states as he hears his door open to find half of the Major Crimes team and Morgan standing there. "I'll leave you to it." She states standing suddenly that she's dizzy. "You can stay, Bee." He states but doesn't get a response. The only thing that he feels is his now warm leather jacket draped across his legs as she excuses herself and walks out.

"So who was that?" Morgan asks as she rests her head against the wall. "That was my ex, she's also my best friend." Nick states as the rest of the team had left. Morgan frowned before walking up to him, trailing her nails up his chest and slightly kissing him. But she doesn't get a response or a kiss back. "Morgan, look." He starts but you come back in. "Its cold out there, I'm stealing this back." You mumble as you take his leather jacket and walk back out. "I understand, you still love her don't you?" Morgan asks as Nick nods.

"I did, I still do. I let her walk out of my life." Nick states groaning in pain as he shifts a bit in the bed. "Never again." he mumbles. "I'll go get her for you, good night Nick." Morgan states. "Night Morgan." Nick states as she walks out.

The door opens, and suddenly Nick feels lips against his own, awaking him from his slumber. "Don't you ever do anything stupid like that again." She states. "You hear me Waggy." She states hot tears dreaming down her face. "I hear yah loud and clear Bee." Nick states. "Can I have another kiss?" He asks. "As long as you promise to never let me go again, Nick Wagner." She states. "I promise, never again." He states. "Never again." She mumbles as she presses her lips softly against his own waiting for the man to deepen it. He kisses her back before mumbling "Never again."

as much as I somewhat enjoyed David getting some of book yuna’s lines (lowkey hated it) please do not let this happen in season two. let my fav chaos queen be her chaotic self please and thank you
