I have a problem with rewatching tvd because im reminded how much plot armour the show has. it literally makes no sense to introduce powerful, ancient vampires just for them to be killed by humans. THAT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE. yes I am talking about Kol and Finn. if the originals needed to be introduced, it should’ve been in later seasons. you can create other storylines but the originals should’ve been kept as the most ancient, powerful, can’t be killed creations. I’m sorry but it’s disrespectful to say “wait until you meet Kol. he’s the worst of the worst.” just for him to get killed by humans. HES WORSE THAN KLAUS?

also the problem is how they’re introduced. “Elijah is the scariest. just kidding, it’s Klaus. Kol is scary and Klaus seems to fear him. don’t upset Rebekah.” they really disrespected the originals over and over again. these are 100 year old vampires and humans besting ancient vampires? I don’t fucking think so

besides Matt + Elena being insufferable, the worst thing they did in this show was have ancient vampires and werewolves and warlocks be defeated by humans and barely trained fighters. as Elijah said, show some respect. he’s an original.
