*one year and two months time jump*
this last year has been stressful, exhaustion plaguing alex’s features as he parks his car on the street. after his accident things were going really well. he and tori were able to maintain their relationship, he and eden built their relationship and trust back up, things between the two girls became better. things went back to normal, or as normal as they can get. for a while, he felt like things were too good to be true. they started to take an awkward turn when eden began dating someone, a historian nerd. although it hurt his heart to see her with someone, he was happy, happy to see her throwing herself back into the deep end.
a few months later, tori began to pressure him about making the next step. moving in. alex spent majority of his life living on his own. aside from his father whom he was the primary caretaker of, he’s never really lived with anyone. that became a big step that overwhelmed and unfortunately tori couldn’t understand. she’s at the point in her life where she wants kids, a family, marriage. despite alex wanting those things, at the moment they simply do not feel right. so, she left him. didn’t turn back.
he steps into david’s backyard with a platter of fruit in hand. a pool party? scratch that, an adult pool party. he’s certain everyone will become exhausted sooner than later. “heeeeey!!!” a few voices greet him, alex smiling switching between hugs and kisses to the cheek. his eyes travels the backyard, almost instantly landing on a head of familiar hair. he doesn’t realize he’s staring until an arm is being slung over his neck, “she looks good doesn’t she. young is fucking hot.” exhaling exasperatedly, a mischievous smirk on his lips, he turns changing the conversation about the most recent basketball game.
twenty minutes have passed when he’s able to slip away from the boys. he approaches eden at the bar area with a sly smile in nothing but his swim trunks. “well isn’t it funny meeting you here.” he greets, gleefully. this is the first time they’ve gotten close up and he intends on spending every moment checking her out behind his sunnys. “i’m assuming the pool games didn’t start yet...no one’s beat up.” @inexorcble
