my favorite species of watson no matter the iteration is a watson that right off the bat realizes that the sherlock is absolutely knuckleheaded/hyperfixated but then over the course of the book or the movie or the tv show the watson gradually becomes equally as nuts as the sherlock

Rec: I couldn’t find this properly credited anywhere, but I am guessing it’s by Zhang Weber (tag) as it looks like their style. What I like the most about this is it goes beyond the gorgeously colored, brilliantly lighted, (better than) photo-quality art I’ve been seeing a lot of lately, working entirely in black and white to create astonishing depth both in terms of physical space and emotion. Every line and stroke is meaningful, and the image as a whole portrays Sherlock’s internal and external landscape in a stunningly effective manner.
