It's so crazy to me that Warped Tour 2005 is seen as such an iconic event.... I was there, but certainly don't remember it being anything to write home about.

But that's probably because it wasn't really my scene to begin with.

In 2005, I was a burgeoning metalhead.... emo and punk were decidedly not my thing at all. But I got invited along to Warped Tour at the last minute by some friends, and decided to go solely to see Avenged Sevenfold....none of the rest of the line-up appealed that much.

My main stand-out memory was when my friends dragged me to see My Chemical Romance and I got knocked over and nearly died in the mosh pit. Was only saved cause one of the guys I was with managed to pick me up off the ground and hold me up so I didn't get completely trampled/crushed.

The song in question was, hilariously, 'I'm Not Okay'.
