I commissioned @its-sooz-again to draw what I'm fairly sure is the first-ever Soryx (Soren/Nyx) fanart, and it is beautiful!

This a scene from a fic idea we'd talked about where a farmer hired Nyx to pick apples from his orchard (lie, she's stealing them cause she just wants the apples), and she asked Soren to come along and be the muscle (also a lie, she has a crush and wants an excuse to be around him).

10/10 recommend commissioning her, Sooz is an incredibly fantastic artist and person, and very easy to work with on commissions. Absolutely love this art and everything she draws.

Welcome back to Rarepair Rumble! We are now in Round 4 and that means we are exactly halfway into the tournament. We have 16 ships left in the competition (or 8 competing pairs of ships).

I would once again like to take a week off. Sorry about that! >.< July 20-26 is the Reading Rush Readathon (an even where people read as many books as they can and complete challenges) and since I also have a job, I won't have time to update Rarepair Rumble. I'll try to publish the results on tumblr so you can at least know who won this round. Updating on all 6 of my social media platforms takes quite some time and I want to do it properly.

This means that Round 5 will most likely return on July 27. Round 5 is also the quarterfinal, so we'll only have 8 ships (or four pairs of ships) competing! Guys, we're getting close!

I'll try to finish Rarepair Rumble before September, because I will be moving house and I also want to start other events (as well as continue publishing results from the Shipping Poll - I still have some stuff I haven't published yet!).

Also, if you organize a TDP event of your own (a zine, a character or ship themed week, a poll of your own - anything were many people can be involved) - let me know. 1) I will happily promote your event and 2) I would like to put links to all TDP events in one place (most likely my tumblr) so that it's easier for the fandom to navigate.

A special thank you for those who answered the question about where they found the voting link - this information is very helpful to me as event organizer and it gives me some cool statistics.

For the A-Z headcanons: Soren-x-Nyx, CUMPLAY

This is a classic case of “these two characters have never met once but I ship them so hard and already have names of their children”.

So… let’s assume for the purpose of the AU that they have met some time after S3, thanks to Rayla and Callum, and Nyx really wanted to see if al that talk Rayla did about Callum was true about humans, and it helped that Soren was totally into her too. 

C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically… I’m a disgusting person)

One of the most alluring sights Nyx has ever graced Soren with was when she went down on him, and once he came in her mouth, she looked up, just so he can stare in her eyes, while she swished her tongue in her mouth, showing him the small pool of cum in it, before she swallowed.    

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)

Nyx is definitely the one to do so, edging him, just so she can see how far can she take him.

M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)

Initially, for Nyx, it was just lust. She has found a stud, and she wanted to have good time. But then he started flirting with her, and she realised she was slowly falling in love, which made sex even better.  

P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)

Fast, I’d say, Nyx was already used to constantly changing locations, so she wanted to use every minute available. Though, as they travelled more together, she got used to Soren’s longer, slightly clumsy foreplays. And heck, she even started liking sleeping late in his arms. 

L = Location (Favourite places to do the do)

Any horizontal place will do.

Wait, she can fly. So, count all the vertical ones as well.   

A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)

I feel Nyx would be partial to smoking some… herbs, native to Xadia.  

Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)

Poor Soren he could only dream about finding a gal with libido like Nyx. She is in there for pleasure, and as it turned out, Rayla was right about humans. Especially when Soren flips her over and starts working his hips. It may not be elegant or delicate, but it is so effective.

Welcome back to Rarepair Rumble! We’re finally reaching the end of Round 1 with the contestants from block D. this time, however, we’ll have an extra pair - Raydia vs Jazi! These two were tied last round, so I decided to include them in this round to give them another chance.

Another change - we finally know the name of Viren’s ex-wife - Lissa. I changed her name and the new ship name for Viren’s ex x Sarai (or Lissa x Sarai) is Lirai! ^u^ I added my own drawing of her. You can find the bigger version here.

Shipping BINGO- Soren/Nyx and Soren/Pyrrah (in some sort of human form)

Soren/Nyx

Pretty much any way I can ship these two, I don't. Somehow no bingo, though. And I don't think I can say that fanon gets them wrong considering like 95% of the Soryx fandom is...well. There really isn't a fanon for the pairing. Soren doesn't have much of his own fanon from what I've seen, and I don't think Nyx has any, which sucks. She deserves it.

Soren/Pyrrah

I...honestly am kinda ambivalent on this ship, even if Pyrrah is in a human form. I go kinda back and forth on it. I think they could be really cute, just not exactly my thing, I guess.
