Hello fellow humans and human fellas of the Dragon Prince fandom! I'm excited to announce
Later today I'll share a more formal post with prompts, rules and guidelines. This event will be using the tag #tdp whump week 2026 so you are welcome to follow if you'd like to stay appraised, or block the tag if you'd prefer not to engage with this type of material.
The holidays are over and we’re pushing through January. Recovering, perhaps working on resolutions… Spring is in sight, but not quite here (depending on your hemisphere).
Many of us are coming out of the long dark, but there’s still a way to go.
Perhaps the spoons aren’t quite there for a multiple oneshots, but a short snippet of fic (or two or four!), well, maybe that’s more achievable.
Ficlets can be bite-sized pieces of fiction, a snapshot of a moment or an intriguing idea. Maybe a piece that you just can’t find the place for or a section that needed to be cut from a different fic. Anything and everything is welcome. There’s no set word count when it comes to a ficlet.
A ficlet is whatever that is to you.
A missing scene from canon? Or a theory for The Dragon King you want to explore? Perhaps there’s a canon divergence that’s been niggling away in the back of your mind or maybe an alternative universe you just have to commit to writing?
Let’s celebrate our favourite mage and warrior, share our love of the show and support this wonderful, creative community!

What is TDP to you? share your love for the series and what it means to you and it will be included in the zine! you can talk about anything; rayllum, dragons, the overall series, the fandom, the creators... just share your love! and keep it positive!

Throughout the month of September, we'll be celebrating our love for Callum and Rayla as a ship and as characters by exploring physical intimacy between them through all types of fan content. Whether you prefer your "sandwiches" sweet or spicy or somewhere inbetween, we hope you'll join us to celebrate!

What can I post?
All types of fan content are encouraged! We anticipate fanfic, fanart, meta, edits, playlists...or anything else you can come up with! Not so sure about creating something yourself? Cheer on participants with comments, reblogs, and support!
All types of sexual content regarding Callum & Rayla are accepted as a part of this event. Please be sure--as always!--to appropriately tag your works with warnings for potentially triggering content so that readers can choose what fanworks they want to engage with. We especially ask that participants warn for AO3's major warning categories (graphic violence, major character death, rape/non-con, underage), if applicable.

We here at Rayllum Smutember believe that our fandom experience should be free of shame, free of purity culture, and FULL of positivity! We aspire to be sex-positive, inclusive, and kind. Therefore, this is a pro-ship fan event. We support fan content of ALL sorts...but especially smutty Rayllum! 😉
