LOCATION: Port District, mainly Sunset Beach
TIME: From 20:00 PM, February 17th
MAIN GOAL: Locate and exorcise the phantom causing the fire
About the fire
The fire starts every night from Sunset Beach and extends toward the city. As long as the phantom exists, it will get stronger and stronger.
This fire is a part of the phantom’s ability. It will burn both living creatures and spirits. The spirits of those who are killed by the fire will be consumed by the phantom. The same fate awaits the ghosts caught in this fire.
It can be put out with ordinary means such as water or fire extinguisher. Magic or supernatural abilities that can suppress fire will also be effective.
About the phantom
The phantom is the source of the heatwave and the fire. It has an ability to create and control fire that burns away life-force. Instead, it cannot use poltergeist.
It is bound to its body which floats in the water somewhere around the docks. The body, if found, can be used to perform a ritual for exorcism. Its location will be hinted through interactions with the phantom.
The phantom will appear around the docks and piers. Interactions with it will be done through our NPC blog. The phantom will be played by one of the admins.
Fire rages through the City of Port Asbourne. Night after night, the blaze starts at the docks. Night after night, it edges further into the city. Night after night, homes and lives are lost.
Under the scorched and crumbling docks, among the debris and various litter that had been dumped in the water ways, floats a corpse. Bloated and decaying skin slowly being picked apart by the sea life, it knocks against the remaining supports of the port, unable to float out into the sea.
A vaguely human shape inclines its head down towards the body. Hovering inches above it, as if standing on the very water itself. It seems the creature is weeping, if it is even capable of such a thing. It stands there in front of the setting sun, though light seems to pass right through it. Slowly, as the last light of day disappears, the creature rises back to the desecrated pier above. Flames lick at the boards bellow it for a moment before the wood once again catches alight and the fires begin in earnest.
Hey, party people! The plot drop is now in effect, and we hope you guys could enjoy this one. Gathering Storm plot drop will evolve around the sudden heavy rain and a ghost ship. The event will begin at Thursday, May 25th 7:00 PM and last till Sunday, June 4th 24:00 PM (PST / GMT -7). Please remember that this event is action involved and could involve injury, violence and other mature contents. The participation is highly recommended.

LOCATION: Mainly Port District and the shores, the rivers around the city as well as the Three Lakes of the city (Lake Isabella in Central, Lake Santana in Financial and Lake Elsinore in Residential District)
TIME: 6 PM, May 15
*Those who want to participate in the active part of the event, please contact admins so that we can coordinate the plot with you.
About the ghost ship
The exact origin of the ship is unknown, but it is presumably a cluster of spirits consists of dead sailors.
The ship is boarded by hostile ghosts of the drowned sailors and pirates with different origins. They are all bound to the ship. The spirits will attack with their respective weapons.
The ship itself is not corporeal-- it consists of life-force and thus, in order to fully perceive it, one must have sixth sense. However, because of its powerful presence, even humans can see it flicker in the horizon.
The ship is sailing toward the land. The closer it becomes, the stronger and harsher the rain will be.
About the drowned
The heavy rain will influence the water around the city, and summon the spirits of the drowned around the lakes and rivers.
These spirits are not that powerful and not as dangerous. They will cling to people walking by. Alone, the ghost would only succeed in tripping people over. Together, and closer to the water, they will have enough power to drag their victims to the water and kill them.
They will target mediums and ghosts foremost, and run at the sight of Tuners.
About the outcome
The characters who wish to solve this can choose between exorcising the ghosts or guiding them back to the Flow.
In order to exorcise the ghost ship, one should approach and on board the ship and destroy the spirit of the captain.
In order to guide the souls back to Soulstream, one must find the hidden treasure chest hidden in Port District and destroy it. Don’t worry. It’s empty.
There is a dark cloud gathering upon the horizon. But they say today was supposed to be a beautiful, sunny day. The raindrops begin to tap the windows, and it doesn’t look like it is going to stop any time soon. Because of what happened at their last event, the city promptly moves the parade to the next week-- the bad press is better than dead people, to be fair.
Yet, this is not the day Port Ashborne will rest easy. At the Sunset Beach, a peculiar sighting are witnessed-- a mirage of a ship, definitely not modern, with a black flag like it does in the creepy story of the locals sailing toward the city from afar. What would happen if it reaches the land?
Good day, friends! We are happy to announce our second event! Any character who is interested in some cash and prizes can participate in the treasure hunt. The event will begin at Monday, May 15th 00:00 AM and last till Sunday, May 21st 24:00 PM (PST / GMT -8). Extension is possible if the members wish so.

LOCATION: the Central District of the city
TIME: 7 AM, May 15
About the event
The treasure is fake gold coins that can be exchanged as prizes at the end of the event. The prizes include coupons, toys, video game consoles and new electronics. The first place prize is a scooter this year.
One can sign up as a team or as an individual. Children (age below 10) are supposed to have a chaperone. If you cannot get one, the city will assign you one from their staff.
The hunt is limited to the Central District. The coins are hidden around the landmarks or monuments of Port Ashborne.
There are booths set up around the district which offer you a hint about the location in exchange of certain missions (scavenger hunts, quizzes about the city’s history and other games).
The city also worked with various food trucks to be gathered around the city hall, selling drinks and snacks.
The hunt will conclude at 5 PM. Participants can return to the HQ at the city hall and collect their prize. The mayor will announce the winner as well.
The parade will begin after the winner is announced, around 6 PM. It will start from the city hall and march across the city.
Long before Port Ashbrone was a city, the coast region was infamous as the land of outlaws. The superstition and baseless stories from those days without order can still be found around the city. From the old tale of pirate’s treasures hidden in the islands of Puget Sound, to a ghost ship with a black flag haunting the dark water. Of course, historians would laugh at such stories but the children surely love them.
That is the story behind the long tradition of Treasure Hunts in Port Ashborne during May. In the late springs, children would venture out to the “unexplored” to find trinkets and treasures. The event seems to grow bigger and bigger every year especially with the recent addition of a parade to commemorate veterans. Regardless of age, anyone can sign up for the treasure hunt across the city nowadays. The treasure is fake gold coins one can exchange with the prizes. The profits from the event goes to fund the projects of Washington Tribes and helping the wounded veteran.
The hunt will be limited to the Central District of the city while the sun is up. Participants can report to the HQ and at the conclusion of the event, the Mayor will announce the winner of the biggest prize. The parade will begin afterward. This year, the city is almost paranoid with the festival, considering the disaster of the New Year’s– even though it wasn’t exactly the city’s fault. Still, the Mayor insisted that they ensure the safest way to follow the tradition. You can’t be too careful, after all.
“The City Square was stormed on the New Year’s morning. The city announced it was an unexpected thunderstorm that caused the citywide blackout. The power began to run again around 8:00 AM starting from the Port District. By 9:34 PM the entire city’s power was restored.
The causalities were minimum, but mourned nonetheless. Four deaths were reported: one from fire, one from a car accident, and two found electrocuted with bizarre burnt marks. They also found Bill Holland, an electrician went missing last month, dead at the power plant during the investigation. The injuries are yet to be counted, but the Redwood Memorial Hospital reported that there aren’t enough room for patients and transporting some to the other hospitals.
Looting, vandalism and other disorders were widespread, including arson. The Port District suffered the most damage. Port Ashborne Police reported that mass arrests shall continue for next few weeks. Fifteen fires were responded, whether or not if they were accidental from power outage or intentional unknown.
The economic loss caused by the blackout is devastating. The City claims that it’s doing it’s best to control the damage and assure citizens, but there are unanswered questions such as the bizarre deaths during the blackout, or how this is going to effect the election coming up this year. One thing is clear: Port Ashborne is facing a tough year to come.”
