Armand and Lestat both fear being alone above anything else and as a result they turn themselves into some sort of object of want/need. they surround themselves with people, but they are lonely still.
Lestat is extravagant, brutal, free and everything you wish to be as a vampire. He makes you want to be with him so you too can feel as 'liberated' as him. but if anything he is as caged as one can be. afraid to really let someone in.
Armand is quiet, manipulative and knows you. he turns himself inside out and into different shapes so he can fill the cracks in your broken armor. he makes you seem whole again and you need him so you don't fall apart. yet do you know him? does anybody really see him.
