No but likeeee. Sam isn’t allowed to have ANY secrets from dean but he’s also not allowed to talk about anything so everything just simmers inside of him because he’s also not allowed to have anyone more important to him than dean but he’s constantly in pain but he can’t tell Dean because dean can’t handle him being in pain so he just suffers in silence and I think the only time he brings up even a smidgen of his pain to anyone it’s rowena, and it’s to help HER. And the only one who knows is lucifer and Lucifer is the one who inflicts it on him. So lucifer knows something Dean doesn’t, he’s hurt Sam in ways dean is incapable of, but dean has also hurt Sam in ways Lucifer is incapable and that infuriates Lucifer. So supernatural is really just a custody battle between lucifer and dean for everything that sam is, and neither of them will win, and so lucifer will try to move on, he will create jack because he can’t have Sam, because he can’t win against dean, but he will fail, but then Sam will steal jack from him too, and Sam belongs to dean, and everything Sam has belongs to dean, so dean will kill him, and both Sam and jack will be his, but he can’t control jack the way he can control sam when jack is soulless, just like he couldn’t control sam when sam was soulless, so he will force sam to manipulate jack into confinement, and then when jack gets his soul back he will do whatever Dean wants, dean will kill their son but sam will fight him for the first time in forever, and for once he will win, and then everyone will be gone and it will just be sam and dean, sam forever deans even when dean dies, but the thing is, dean never truly had the real sam, he had a sam who cut off parts of himself to appease dean, to be the person dean wants him to be, and I hope that one day he managed to recover himself but he was so deeply conditioned I doubt that he did.

Also to continue from my last post, one of his points was that Jack was a bad character and then everything he said to back his point about Jack was so out of touch.

And I think he was basing it predominantly on soulless Jack.

Like unfortunately I do agree that soulless Jack could've been handled so much better, but to paint Jack's entire being based on such a bad writing choice of a crap arc is so tasteless in my opinion.

I feel like when looking at any character in spn that has lost their soul (which is literally...the main four) you can never really hold their whole character on what their soulless selves did.

Like Sam for instance, one of the first characters to lose his soul. Sam without a soul was so much different than regular Sam. Sam is the most self-sacrificing individual without the possibility of it being at the team's expense. (I can say different for Dean but I'm not going to) He also tends to be protective of everyone when it comes to hunts, he's not going to try to complete a hunt with someone possibly coming to harm or being the fall guy. And last he's not one to usually sleep around.

Without a soul, Sam did all of those things. He was willing to sacrifice Dean for the purpose of a hunt, and while I did love the small glimpse we had of vamp Dean, it was not a good moment for Sam and his relationship with Dean. He was a stone cold killer, he didn't care who came in his way, and finally, he did sleep around quite a bit without a soul.

But we can't look at what Soulless Sam did and hold it against Sam with a soul bc in my opinion they're two different characters.

And the same can be said about Jack.

Jack is an empath at heart, he is very often trying to see things from a human perspective, he wants to be like Kelly and if he has to be an angel he wants to be like Castiel.

Two of the most caring individuals in his life, and then top it off, after Kelly's passing, Sam is a great figure as well. And I stand with my idea that Sam is Jack's second mother but ignoring that pov (for now), we have how Jack was like soulless.

He lost the exact thing that made him special, his heart. His humanity. He couldn't put himself in Sam and Dean's shoes to understand what it was like to lose their mother the way they did. He couldn't understand that he was hurting and scaring other people. He couldn't understand that what he was doing was fundamentally wrong.

And so in turn, his character was so different from how he was like with a soul, and i think bc of how little time we had with Jack in general and how long they decided to have him soulless, I will admit...it was at his character's expense.

I love Jack, I love Jack with a soul. However, I couldn't stand soulless Jack. And so if it was just about Jack without a soul I would agree and get it, but just Jack in general? The last thing I would call him is selfish.

anywho before i got distracted with my pfp i was gonna say that i am forever and always deeply attached to the idea of jack as a sort-of villain (soulless or not but im sure you can tell what i’m leaning towards) specifically because he’s literally a nail biting neurotic mess about being evil and it’s just. i just really really like it. “oh man sorry i hurt your feelings im bad at talking to people and also evil :/” going off of that one deleted absence script where he makes it snow in the church I’m very certain he would have a tiny personal thundercloud hanging over his head at all times and accidentally literally rain on someone’s parade. in my beautiful yet terribly myopic eyes he’s like pre-redemption-arc Zuko yelling WHY AM I SO BAD AT BEING GOOD.

I'm so mad that Jack was soulless for like a season. He was there for three. If I don't get season 16 I will take myself out. I don't give a ratd ass about anything else than him he is my son my heart my soul my universe. Call me Kelly Kline because I would do absolutely anything for him

Poor Cas. Whenever he tries to protect the ones Dean raised, they almost always become soulless. 💔
