In case you haven’t learned this about me yet from this ridiculously long post, I enjoy nuance and will romanticize everything. I love mornings, I love when it’s dewey and cool when the sun has just come up, I love feeling like I have the whole day ahead of me, I love hearing the birds chirping, I love getting brunch with friends. I love afternoons, I love the sunshine, I love going out and enjoying the world and running errands, I love spending afternoons doing activities. 1) Origin of your username

Obviously it's a blend of two: Hex and Winchester. I loved the name Hex when i first saw it on Scooby Doo. There was a vampire girl band in it called The Hex Girls which i loved! I always thought that would be a good name for my alter ego. And well, Winchester is from Supernatural. The brothers tend to be hexed and cursed more often and if you read my fics you know how cursed they are.. so i first picked it for my ao3 username and kept the same for Tumblr so readers can connect easily

I can be all depending on the mood and weather and responsibilities. i love being a morning person on my day off. rising to the sound of birds and clean early morning air. Afternoon person mostly during summers. it's nice to close the curtains and tuck in with a book or a movie. Evening person when i am at a beach. Night person when i have to work on fanfics or just need the still of the night

It's kinda self explanatory tbh, but I do tend to hyperfixate on things (mostly stories tv shows and movies, the characters even artists) So yeah, that's the logic. It's kind of a boring user name but it fits me well.

i used to be hyperfixated on call of duty — more specifically, on roach — and one day, i saw fanart of him that called him a "tactical insect", and from there on out that artist became my fave artist. i later decided to pay tribute by making all my usernames @/tacticalinsect. i still love COD to this day so it all works out :3

so on one hand I would say I don't know but I have an idea of where I got the idea. back when I used my dead name I put it and d_yz together which was cute to me. the og idea came from the movie "rainbow days" which at the time I really loved. nowad_yz (haha get it?) it's just the name I connected with most as a handle vs using my actual name which I only like people who know me to call me.

i think so much of the unfinished feeling is because of how many times the show was passed around to different runners and writers so a lot of ideas and plot points were either ignored or forgotten along the way

I agree with this and to add on, I think even the fact that you can tell the narrative shifted at one point to be biased around one specific character instead of what was originally a story about two brothers was a bit strange on top of then having the most rushed and jarring final episodes to try and recover back to centering around said brothers? The damage was done by then.

Not to mention how many times the show could've ended bc yikes

I must say, even with how some people love to complain about non-issues (I sometimes am some people) I wanted to give a round of applause to one character for what people are considering a bad season for the Pitt.

If nothing else good came from this season then my goddess in the E.R, Dr. Baran Al Hashimi is definitely the best damn thing that graced my screen.

At first I wasn't sure about her, I'm all for women leading headfirst but I mean just from the first glimpse of her ideas it seemed a bit "much", however, she is so emotionally intelligent and obviously even with whatever trauma she has, she doesn't bring it to work, she holds her head up high, uses logic, serves face, and remains one of the top baddies in the building.

I love her and she needs to whoop Robby's ass before I do

To preface this so that no one jumps down my throat; this is my personal opinion, I'm not anti or pro anyone in this situation, and above all of that, this is a work of fiction that I am simply once again voicing opinions on.

I wanted to talk about the Pitt bc I do be lurking on that side of Tumblr and I am in that fandom. Today is literally just about Langdon and Santos but imma get to how Robby plays a part for Langdon's flaws as well.

In S1 we see how addiction and fear of said addiction can make people do stupid and crazy things. And ultimately harm more than just one person, and we see that through Langdon.

by S2, we see Langdon come back from said mistakes which probably was a mixture of his personality, personal demons, and ofc his addiction all working against him. Not excusing him or actions, that's just how I view it.

Especially as someone who while I haven't struggled with dr*g addiction, I have been an addict to different vices in the past and those things are damaging to everything in regards to your existence.

And admittedly others as well, hence why he made Santos's first shift the shit show that it was between him and her.

It's good to hold himself accountable and to move forward by trying to apologize to people, especially Santos who he personally lashed out towards and obviously made the workplace hostile in S1

Which makes him an asshole who should've never put someone who was a student/mentee of his into a position like that.

However, in S2 we see a side of Santos that let's not act like with the trauma from that day and whatever else she's warred with in the past that Santos ain't just a bitch with trauma

she did the right thing in S1 by telling someone about his addiction and ultimately that led to Langdon getting the help he needed. However, now Santos is standing in her own way of getting over the situation.

There's no denying that she was put into a bad and messy situation working with Langdon and being the one to notice and whistleblow that he was using and stealing prescriptions

However, she was already previously shown to have a bitchy personality and continues to show that in this season

So yeah she is a bitch with trauma and the two can coexist. Both of them are tbh.

And that isn't to say that one is right and one is wrong both of them are messy as hell.

However, while Langdon went to rehab and is now trying to make amends with the people he screwed over and hurt, including Santos, she is constantly rubbing it in his face

Along with making a hostile environment due to her own personal beliefs of how that should've been handled vs what ended up proceeding. So in turn while Langdon was the core reason their environment was hostile S1, now Santos is making it that way in S2

Which ultimately is unfortunate for both of them, because it's obvious that they both have personal demons they need to work through

but while Langdon was forced to work through his and now is actively trying to face them and work through them. Santos seems to be content with pointing a finger at him so that none can be pointed at her.

I'm not saying the two gotta be friends but she's gotta deal with her own shit before she can say Langdon's stinks or even turn around and blame him for it affecting how other people see her

and again this isn't an anti post for either of them, I'm not the biggest fan of Santos but I do sympathize with her feelings towards Langdon bc superiors can be shitty as hell at times

And I'm not the biggest fan of Langdon either but I again, sympathize with what addiction looks like on a person and the aftermath of trying to shed that skin

As a fan of things ofc one of the things you love to engage with is the art that comes from it. And I'm not just talking about the official content but the fan content as well.

I love seeing fanart, reading fanfiction, listening to fan songs, literally anything made by the fans is wonderful.

However, on the other side of that feeling is that even when you don't like certain things like a specific media, ship or whatever there is no denying how talented these artists are.

So even if you don't like that specific thing, don't forget to support fans, support those artists, or the best option of all...

Currently finishing up twd and I must say, when people said the show went downhill after like S7-8 they weren't kidding.

I love Lydia and some of the other characters that were introduced in these later seasons but I would choose Carl over EVERYBODY literally any day.

Like don't get me wrong, there are certain arcs that were cool for a moment or in concept.

Like the Whisperers was cool for a time but it wasn't a strong enough arc to last an entire season like this show does.

Unfortunately it relies too heavily on like ig whatever happens in the comics (outside of killing off Carl) and it's like some of this stuff may pass under dropping a certain amount of chapters/issues but in a show setting?

These important storylines are really only developed enough to maybe last 10-15 eps, not an entire 20 sumn season. So the fact that the last two seasons break the usual mold that the previous seasons had set with only having 16 eps per season, by having 20+ is one thing but on top of that having the weakest storylines in the show really is detrimental to the show as a whole.

And you can tell by how the story starts to wane in quality and even low-key how they film it too. So unfortunately I might just consider the show having ended like season 6-7 somewhere round there.
