I wish people realised that there’s more to mics being “loud” and not “autotune” for a stage to be considered good.
Unpopular opinion. But. There are better DNA stages compared to that one on Ellen.
Stop complaining about Korean music shows.
You don’t understand how difficult it is to be a sound tech. Both on stage and behind the board. US does this once. Korea has to do this for like 10 different groups in a single day for one music show.
I still don’t understand how they manage to mic up groups like Seventeen.
Just because the mics weren’t “loud” doesn’t mean it’s the sound tech fault. Your idol could be the one who knocked it off position (if it were a head-worn mic).
And. I really wish someone could tell idols that holding the microphone grill is bad. VERY BAD. Unless you’re a rapper.
I wish I had a fellow K-Pop friend who’s also a sound engineer and can understand me.
TLDR; don’t blame the sound techs. Especially those in Korea. They get blame for everything when they do so much.
How to Choose the Right Wireless Microphones for Events and Live Productions
Introduction Event managers, MCs, and production coordinators rely on wireless MICROPHONES to keep shows moving and talent mobile. Choosing the right system avoids last-minute issues and guarantees clear sound.
H2: What Is a Wireless Microphone System? Wireless MICROPHONES replace a cable between mic and mixer with a radio link. They consist of a transmitter (in the microphone or pack) and a receiver that feeds your sound system, with antennas, power supplies, and sometimes rack hardware.
H2: Why Go Wireless?
Flexibility: presenters and performers move freely.
Safety: fewer cables reduce trip hazards.
Professional appearance: uncluttered stage setup.
Rapid reconfiguration: quick mic swaps and stage changes.
H2: Which Type Is Right for Your Event? H3: Handheld for talk and performance Choose dynamic or condenser handhelds depending on vocal style. Dynamic handhelds are rugged and feedback-resistant; condensers offer higher sensitivity and clarity.
H3: Lavalier for presentations and theatre Lavalier MICROPHONES clip to clothing and are near-invisible. Pick omnidirectional lavs for consistent pick-up or directional lavs if handling spill is a concern.
H3: Headset for active presenters Headset microphones provide hands-free performance and consistent distance from the mouth — ideal for fitness instructors, presenters, and theatrical performances.
H2: How to Evaluate Systems (Simple Checklist)
Audio quality: test for clarity and noise floor.
Battery options: disposable vs rechargeable and expected runtime.
RF performance: range, diversity reception, and interference handling.
Ease of setup: IR sync, intuitive controls, and clear channel displays.
Warranty and support: local Canadian support matters.
H2: Budgeting and Cost Considerations
Entry-level: good for small events and single presenters.
Mid-range: better build quality, useful for medium venues and multiple mics.
Pro-tier: advanced frequency management, rack solutions, and durability for touring.
H2: Installation and Operational Tips
Conduct an RF sweep before the event and lock in channels.
Use fresh or fully charged batteries for every show.
Label wireless MICROPHONES and test them during rehearsal.
Have a wired backup mic for critical moments.
H2: Real-World Event Examples
Weddings: two handhelds and one lavalier for ceremonies and speeches.
Conferences: multiple lavs and handhelds managed from a central rack.
Outdoor festivals: high-power UHF systems and robust antenna placement.
Streaming: low-latency digital systems that interface cleanly with cameras and audio interfaces.
