So anyways when you're doing the lights for a dance competition and the director doesn't tell you what lights to do for each dance so you just start doing pride flag colors on the skrim
Image ID:
A series of pictures taken inside a light booth with black criss cross lines on the glass showing mostly empty stages with the colored lights in the order of the following pride flags: asexual, genderflux, Men loving men, aroace, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, non-binary, and transgender.

I have a dilemma. I can’t seem to find gloves that are heat resistant in my size. My hands are really small and even the size small is actually big.
I found extra small ones. Might start saving up for them.
Things I've learned
behind the light board
How to write cues
How to edit cues
Call "going dark" before going to blackout (not when the blackouts are planned/a part of the show....kinda ruins the magic)
Always check the master faders if things look dim
How to tame the intrusive thoughts, because yes, you sit behind that bored long enough, the little devil on your shoulder is gonna go "Hey you should just...Press all the buttons randomly" and you will have to have the self control to go "NO, I will not be doing that, brain"
Make sure you press update after doing something to a cue
Anyways, what are some things y'all have learned from your tech positions?
Now how am I supposed to get my daily dose of saw dust and splinters if schools still won’t open up?
Just one more month. One more month until I get to smell the fresh scent of saw dust.
The crew during tech week:
Sure. That looks safe.
Good Lord it’s beautiful!
