Hear me out, her most loyal minion, who’s second highest in the Sour Bunch hierachy, and the only boss other than Grape to be also based on a fruit. She’d probably have magic trick related patterns that Peach would have to figure out before accessing Grape’s door.

Okay... I need to say this...

Why we don't have more fan content about the Dark Figure Skater [dunno how to name him] and Peach???

Okay into fiction, there wouldn't have a lot to say, I understand.

But into art...

They are dancers and plus on ice and they have opposite roles so imagine the good poses and tension you could draw!!

Just a silly little thing I thought about Ice Skater in Princess Peach: Showtime.

Realized The Sour Bunch and the Heets/Sparklas are based on grapes. "Since grapes are in a bunch, So I decided to look into what types of grapes they are.

Spoilers for Ice Skater, just in case. I might be thinking too much into things, but I got really excited thinking about it.

I like to imagine he's based on the Merlot grape, a type of wine grape. Which is a VERY NICE BLUE... even though it's a red grape.

I looked more into the grape and found out that Merlot is a french name for "Blackbird" essentially.

And I was looking on his helmet and feathers and looks fairly bird like. With the feathers being a dark purple color.

I know birds are often depicted as very prideful and love to show off. Since some birds, like peacocks and peafowls, do show off their feathers to attract potential mates.

HE'S BIRD CODED AND I LOVE IT... I have been calling him Merlot as a result.

Also, little bonus point: The fight with him and Peach gives Swan Lake vibes. Mostly the outfits and how he is both designed, looks, and sounds.

Edit: I JUST REALIZED PEACH'S ICE SKATING DRESS DOES HAVE FEATHERS!!
