The Ultimate CAS Catalog Overhaul - for real this time!
@lorasandolasbycz asked:
Hi! I love that you made ridiculous sims 3 outfit hiders. Is the procedure with putting them in and getting them to work just the standard? Put the package in sims 3>mods>packages ? For some reason the ridiculous outfits are still in my game. Thanks a bunch!
Well this turned out significantly longer than I anticipated 😂 I did notice that those hiders weren’t working anymore for some reason, but figured it was just my game being pissy, so I left them up and went through ALL sim CAS items again to reorganize them (it was long overdue anyway). This is what I’ll be posting here. It’s a long-ass post, so check under the cut for details.
This applies for all EPs minus ITF, and for HELS. Also I did not initially mean to share these, so only the hairs have previews (because I gave them custom thumbnails). All of them are default replacements, meaning you need to have the EPs/SP for them to do anything. You can put them in any folder you want, as long as it’s under Mods\Packages.

Smaller dressers
Continuing from @packagedblyss‘s work (shoutout!), here are dressers from the expansion packs (minus ITF)! As opposed to the smaller desks, these dressers truly are 1-tile only and this time I kept their original presets.
The most challenging part were the vanity-type dressers since moving the vertices of the parts where the mirrors connected to the “body” would screw up the UV map, so I had to resize them with that in mind. The mirrors ended up quite small for the sake of maintaining proportions, but I think they would look cute as toys for kids! I normally place armchairs beside them anyway 🙂
There are 16 dressers, from all EPs (minus ITF) and HELS.
Details - all the dressers are basegame compatible; - they be found in the same categories as the original dressers; - they cost roughly 50% of their 2-tile counterparts; - the Egypt dresser actually had a hidden third stencil, which is a combination of the other 2. I enabled it and added a fourth preset, with recolorable handles; - I included 2 variations of the Late Night wardrobe: one as tall as the original, and a shorter one.

Smaller desks
Hi again! I remembered Blyss’s 1-tile dressers and thought “why not try this with desks?”. A lot of desks (especially the basegame ones) look too wide and, when placed to the left of a bed, don’t allow sims to use that bed if another sim is using the desk. So. Much. Arm. Waving. So, I made the meshes smaller and adjusted the bounding boxes and the placement of the slots. They still show up as 2-tile objects, but they’re 65% the length of the original desks (I tried making them 1-tile but most clipped with some chairs and didn’t look good).
Edit: I forgot to mention—there are 17 desks!
Routing - If placed next to a bed, sims will be able to use the bed while another sim is using the desk (2-tile desks don’t allow this if placed on the left side of the bed). - You can place two desks right next to each other and sims will be able to walk between them (though only if there’s no other route).
Details - all the desks are basegame compatible; - can be found in the same categories as the original desks; - they cost roughly 50% of their 2-tile counterparts; - some desks come with 3 custom presets (the ones which I really hate the original presets to). You can see them in the previews; - the Dorm Desk from UNI actually had both an overlay and a stencil enabled at the same time for the books, so I left the overlay for one preset and the stencil for another; - they don’t interfere with the regular desks.

rena2sweet4u was looking for a mod that removes the frosted glass look, and since it turned out to be very easy and quick to do - why not?
From the stuff I have, only the cheap basegame shower and the one that came with HELS have frosted walls. If there are any other showers/tubs from EPs/SPs/Store, shoot me an ask and I’ll edit those too~
This mod will not add the showers to your game! You must have them, otherwise it won’t do anything. It will most likely NOT conflict with anything, since it’s a simple texture edit.
Update 2021/01/26: added non-default replacement versions. Download both DR and NDR versions below (the NDR version of the HELS shower is also basegame compatible):
