Forbidden Vampire Tomb

Do you dare approach the mysterious tomb forgotten by time underneath the ivy? Is the possible reward worth the risk? Note: does not apply to vampires. It's perfectly safe to sleep here. If you are a vampire.

Remember my first vampire bed? Well, you can now upgrade your vampire's bare-bones pine box (or uncomfortable slab) to the premium Forbidden Tomb from the Grim's Ghastly Manor Store set!

This went through four stages: first I used the original unrecolorable ivy overlay for all stencils; then I made it into three unrecolorable stencil variants; after that, I made the ivy into a 4th channel... and finally, I figured, why not make a plain version as well?

Details:

both versions require the Late Night EP;

3x4 footprint (compared to the altar's 1x3);

3 presets, found under Beds for $5500;

with ivy: 4449 polys, 4 channels;

without ivy: 4106 polys, 3 channels.

📌Issues (visual only):

there is some clipping with the bottom rim of the pedestal when vampires get in/out of bed. If your sim is wearing large accessories (like wings), they may clip through the tomb mesh.

The candle and smoke effects still happen but only the smoke will show up, coming out from the lion heads in the front and back.

No Autonomous Formalize for Proper Sims

I hate how sims with the Proper trait will constantly switch to the formal outfit anytime you leave them to their own devices.

This tuning mod simply removes the code bit pertaining to the Proper trait in the Formalize_Sim ITUN (0x582D37C652EC5E92). Made on patch 1.67, and of course you need the Supernatural EP for this to do anything.

De-coffinated Vampire Bed

Some rate it an "uninspired piece of Halloween chintz", others - "not the worst bed I've floated above". One thing is certain: it is, undoubtedly, a surface one can float above.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to bring you this! It all started from a coffin-shaped coffee table that came with a Halloween set from September 2011; I thought it'd make a nice bed for an actual vampire, so I set off to work on it. It's not 100% the way I envisioned it — the coffin directly on the floor, and then every box being recolorable individually —, but it's Close Enough™. You could argue that no self-respecting vampire would put their bed directly on the floor.

I owe a lot to this discussion between Nilxis and Bloom, for helping me fix distorted textures (who knew one puny normal map could cause such frustration?). The UV map isn't amazing and I recommend using vertical textures, but I hope that the pattern tiling makes it look alright-ish 😅

On a separate note, if anyone knows how to do away with the candle effects, I'd love to make a version without the candles. They didn't seem to be attached to any bones or slots in TSRW.

Six new custom recipes: pies!

I’m very excited to bring you this, as it’s (so far) my only successful project in terms of scripting (well, I didn’t do the scripting myself 😅). Here you have six custom pie recipes: Cheese and Onion Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, Chiffon Pie, Fruit Pie, Meat Pie, Tofu Tourtiere.

These require DouglasVeiga’s CCLoader (CCLoader.zip: unzip and put the contents under Mods \ Packages, or a subfolder in there).

Recipes:

Cheese and Onion Pie [🌿] ingredients: Cheese, Onion, Egg

Chicken Pot Pie [🍖] ingredients: Roast, Carrots, Onion

Chiffon Pie [🌿🍰] ingredients: any Fruit, Egg x2

Fruit Pie [🌿🍰] ingredients: any Fruit x2, Egg

Meat Pie [🍖] ingredients: Steak, Potato, Garlic

Tofu Tourtiere [🌿] ingredients: Tofu, White Caps, Onion

🌿 vegetarian; 🍖 non-vegetarian; 🍰 dessert

Details:

Chicken Pot Pie requires the Pets EP (Carrots ingredient). Tofu Tourtiere requires Supernatural EP (White Caps ingredient). You might be able to make them if you don’t have those EPs, but they will lack those ingredients. The other recipes are all basegame compatible. 

You can pick and choose whichever recipe you want, but you must have DouglasVeiga’s CCLoader regardless of what you keep.

Most of the recipes can be learned at level 3 of the cooking skill, via $30 recipe books. The Cheese and Onion Pie recipe can be learned at level 2 and costs $20 to buy, so it appears at the top of the list since the cheapest recipes are $25.

All recipes can only be made as Group meals (so you can find them under Serve..., not Have...), at any time of day.

Translations: currently, the recipes feature English strings for all languages. DM me if you want to contribute localized translations 😊The only string is the name of the pies listed above, lol.

Compatible with other custom recipes and my mods: More Complex Recipes / Some Meals as Desserts, 4 Servings per Group Meal. Pictured: one variant of my Marble Default Replacement Plates.

The Ultimate CAS Catalog Overhaul - for real this time!

Well this turned out significantly longer than I anticipated 😂 I did notice that those hiders weren’t working anymore for some reason, but figured it was just my game being pissy, so I left them up and went through ALL sim CAS items again to reorganize them (it was long overdue anyway). This is what I’ll be posting here. It’s a long-ass post, so check under the cut for details.

This applies for all EPs minus ITF, and for HELS. Also I did not initially mean to share these, so only the hairs have previews (because I gave them custom thumbnails). All of them are default replacements, meaning you need to have the EPs/SP for them to do anything. You can put them in any folder you want, as long as it’s under Mods\Packages.

Hair retextures

The hair retextures are only for the hairstyles I decided to keep! Not all hairstyles are retextured! No, I won’t be doing more. Yes, you can use my textures to retexture your own. Yes, I kept the mullet hair from the Basegame. Who do you take me for? [ click for HQ version of the collage above ]

IMG edits

I use these alongside other IMG and mesh edits: [x], no UL stencils, [x], [x], [x], [x], [x], [x], [x]. Basegame: a merged version of all my texture edits: 1, 2, 3, 4. Ambitions: this edit for the low-level stylist outfit: 1. Island Paradise: stencil-less version of the male vest, plus this: 1.   Late Night: a few specular edits, a stencil-less version of the muscle shirt, plus this specular edit: 1. Showtime: specular edits of two dresses. University Life: stencil-less version of the male hoodie, plus this: 1.

CASP edits

Recategorizers and hiders for sim CAS content - tops, bottoms, outfits, shoes,  accessories -, all ages. Open each package in S3PE and use S3OC to see which item is which; there are over 1.5k entries so I have no time to go through every one of them again. At most I can show you how part of my catalog looks (see photoset above). Note that I also use Nraas Master Controller to compress the catalog so that only one preset is displayed.

Pets Riding Leggings Edit (BottomEP5RidingPants)

This is an edit that gives all the channels the same color (the mask is intact so they can still be recolored as usual) and rearranges the presets so that the all-black one is first. It comes with EA-match thumbnails to reflect the color changes. It applies to both genders, teen-elder.

Smaller dressers

Continuing from @packagedblyss‘s work (shoutout!), here are dressers from the expansion packs (minus ITF)! As opposed to the smaller desks, these dressers truly are 1-tile only and this time I kept their original presets.

The most challenging part were the vanity-type dressers since moving the vertices of the parts where the mirrors connected to the “body” would screw up the UV map, so I had to resize them with that in mind. The mirrors ended up quite small for the sake of maintaining proportions, but I think they would look cute as toys for kids! I normally place armchairs beside them anyway 🙂

There are 16 dressers, from all EPs (minus ITF) and HELS.

Details - all the dressers are basegame compatible; - they be found in the same categories as the original dressers; - they cost roughly 50% of their 2-tile counterparts; - the Egypt dresser actually had a hidden third stencil, which is a combination of the other 2. I enabled it and added a fourth preset, with recolorable handles; - I included 2 variations of the Late Night wardrobe: one as tall as the original, and a shorter one.

Bladder and Hygiene motive increase from Fairy House

This has been giving me a headache for a few days, so I’m glad to finally be able to bring you these mods! 🙂 These mods require the Supernatural EP and the fairy house object to work. These perks apply to all species of sims that can enter the fairy house, from toddler to elder.

What they do: (1) Bladder and Hygiene motives max out when entering the fairy house. (2) Bladder and Hygiene motives max out when sleeping in the fairy house. (3) Bladder and Hygiene motives max out when sleeping in the fairy house, and their Social motive won’t decay while sleeping.

How to use: Can be used together: (1) + (2); (1) + (3); (1) + Twoftmama’s mod (any flavor). Don’t use together: (2) + (3); (2)/(3) + Twoftmama’s mod; any flavor + anything that edits the following ITUN resources: GetIn_FairyHouse (used in (1)), Sleep_FairyHouse (used in (2) and (3)).

Supernatural Layered Vest Top & University Life Hoodie Shirt top edits

OK, the hoodie top might get away with that shirt showing, but I will absolutely not stand for the one on the SN top—that asymmetrical corner had to go. Both these are default replacements and morph properly. I also removed the university logo stencils from the hoodie top, by replacing the references to the stencil images in the preset XMLs to references to the blank overlay, thereby making the filesize significantly smaller~

Layered Vest top: requires SN, for YA/A males, available under Everyday, Formal, Career, Random.

Hoodie Shirt top: requires UNI, for YA/A females, available under Everyday, Career, Random. Has updated EA-match thumbnails.
