Shouta scares the spa workers at 1st—his, ah, ‘charming smile’ does not help offset the dark intensity he’s got about him

Hizashi makes one joke about his ‘magic hands’ & Shouta immediately decides he hates this guy

Hizashi is also the only massage therapist willing to deal with this grump

1st massage: Shouta ends up falling asleep. 2nd massage: Hizashi gets down to business & takes on all the knots of tension Shouta’s got. It’s not exactly pleasant to work out knots like that. Shouta is, expectedly, not very receptive to this (“I thought this was supposed to feel nice” “JUST TRUST ME & LET ME WORK MY MAGIC”)

But then after shouta’s like oh. so it does work.

Their 1st actual outing together is born from Shouta’s complaining about not wanting to be there, but that he needs to do SOMETHING to relax & it’s not like he’s got a better idea

So Hizashi takes him around to various places/activities to see if they can’t get this guy to de-stress somewhere he’s more comfortable

Spoiler alert: Shouta ends up back at the spa. But not after ample hijinks.

Shouta is also raising Hitoshi!!!!!! Hizashi calls him ‘champ.’ Nobody likes this.

I would die if you told us more about the spa au....how to they get together? Do they tell Nem? How does Eri feel about the whole thing?

From the repeated visits to the spa, all the different employees get to know Eri at least a little. Hizashi thinks she’s adorable; she thinks Hizashi is funny. Hizashi will do face masks for folks sometimes, so that’s how Eri knows him—the funny guy with the mud & cucumbers who put some on his face first to show what he was going to do.

So Hizashi is good with his kid. Shouta is a little more willing than usual to give him a chance, despite not having had a toe in the dating scene for a Long Time. I imagine they’re able to strike up a few more actual conversations as the visits continue, & that that eventually leads to asking to hang out, grab some coffee outside the spa.

& as for Nemuri, I like to think that she’s friends with BOTH of them—she probably recommended the spa to Shouta BECAUSE she knew Hizashi. So I imagine she’s hearing lots of fun updates from both sides while casually withholding that she knows exactly who the other is talking about.

Spa AU. Shouta's doctor/therapist/Nemuri demands he take some steps to relax & de-stress for his health. Hizashi is the massage therapist at the fancy spa who has to deal with this cranky asshole who doesn't really want to be there.

Shouta immediately becomes the guy who falls asleep & snores on the massage table.

He's also a single dad, so Eri comes along most days too. The spa workers all adore her; she gets her nails done, gets to swim in the pool, have some snacks, etc.

Shouta reluctantly sips wine through a bendy straw in his fluffy robe by the pool while he waits for his Suggested Relaxation Time to be over. Hizashi hops down for some laps on his break while it's empty. They get to have their obligatory Oh no he's hot moments & an actual get-to-know-you conversation. Eri probably runs in at this point & Hizashi connects the shocking dots between this grumpy guy & the angelic child who's taken a shine to him.

A Grillster Story Concept I Don’t Know What to do with:

In the Underground there is a wonderful luxury spa worked and maintained by Elementals. Warm gentle massages from flames, relaxation sessions with winds, physical therapy with water, and chiropractic care from Earth elementals (or mud baths lol they might be a bit too much for chiropractic care). Every client is assigned an Elemental suited to their needs to escort them about the facility and help maintain the client’s schedules.

Gaster is a detective investigating whether or not the business is legit or not. That many elementals working in one place is a bit suspicious. Upon his many visits he is assigned Grillby to escort him about the property and keep Gaster in the lines the owner wants.

Because it isn’t a legit business. The owners are using the Elementals for free labor and have them bound to the property line (and to obey).

This is all I got haha I’ve tried to think further but I just can’t see anywhere to go with this.

Bubble Bath Day & National Shop for Travel Day & National Winter Skin Relief Day

Person A is shopping for their spa trip to help them get some relief from the cold for their skin, which doesn’t handle cold well at all. Person B is someone they run into while shopping and is the spa worker who tends to their needs most, through random occurrence.
