Been going through my old spacebat sketches as prep for editing more chapters, and some of them are actually decent and not unintelligible scribbles, yay!

This process has got me thinking again about all the content I make, both art and writing, that I don’t post anywhere. Of course it’s great to make personal art. I’m having a great time! But I also want to get better at sharing more instead of forgetting all the time, or worse, getting paralyzed by nerves.

The above picture for example, is a relic of March, back when I wrote my first Horde clone stories (back when I didn’t think I’d share any of them). It was so surreal going back to those chapters, seeing the clones I’ve had in my head for so long as they first started out, before they got their names and current lives. It gave me a mixture of sadness and joy, a bittersweet feeling.

Protocol in particular is an oddball, because I originally wrote it as both an introduction to one of the peripheral clones (for reasons I’ll reveal later) and a bit of lore exploration. Then I looked at this room full of distressed clones, and… never mind, I’m adopting all of you. Hence the kitten analogy that popped into my head the other day. Most of the content I have for them, they are named, and no reference is made to the designations used in the chapter. They are just a conceptualization of the viewpoint clone anyway. Plus I thought it would be neat to see whether the reader would pick up on who is who based on their personalities. I hope it’s fun and not annoying XD

I’d like to shamelessly bring attention to a different Hordak besides the one from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Because goddamit, this show reignited my love for He-Man and She-Ra.

And Hordak.

Seriously, he’s now my favorite, even over Skeletor!

Our lovable spacebat is always lovable.

And no, I’m not talking about this one:

He is the classic, snorting tyrant and I do love him but here’s Hordak I haven’t see often to be mentioned.

Damn, that smirk... And the tiny growl he made at this point!

THAT is one impressive and intimidating take on Hordak. Meaning, he did oneshot one of his own men just because he was given advice he did not like. Even Skeletor in the show fears this guys! Kicked the Snake Mens’ collective ass and managed to kill He-Man’s ancestor (he still lost but hey, we can’t always succeed!)

More inspired by old comics as he’s a sorcerer, not a cyborg/tech-kind-of-guy, but still.

We sadly did not get to see much of him since show was cancelled before 3rd season where he was told be the main villain.

Yes, I have a major fixation/crush on any type on Hordak.

No, I am not ashamed of it.
