Cyrus disrespects Maxie's feild of study and pisses Maxie off, so Maxie starts trying to one up/pick fights with Cyrus. At first Archie is amused, but then Maxie starts treating Cyrus like his nemesis and Archie gets mad jealous. That's his bony assed rival.

Been thinking about SpaceRockShipping (Maxie x Cyrus) lately

It's criminally underrated, the fact it has so little content is like a plague on my soul, guys everytime you make SpaceRock content an angel gains it's wings I promise

Like I think they'd be really well together, the ways in which they differ make them able to really help and grow close to each other. I've lomg yapped about how I interpret Maxie, but Maxie to me is very driven to help others and seeks to be what helps people improve, doing what he thinks he can to do so, usually taking on more responsibility and declining help to act as that - which meshes well with how Cyrus is shown (especially in PokeMas) to deep down want to connect with others, and to get better, despite a fear of doing so (out of losing it) or a shame (for backing away from his ideals) causing him to push people away. I feel like Maxie could see that Cyrus doesn't actually dislike him in a scenario where they do meet over the course of a while, and would be more than willing to befriend Cyrus. Ultimately, it'd also help Maxie to improve, since for Cyrus to be happy, he needs to be equal to someone (not above like Team Galactic, or below with how his parents treated him), which would push Maxie to get out of a habit he has of seeing others as less capable to preserve the idea that he can watch over them, and to place himself on the same level as Cyrus, and to extent, everyone else. It's really fire guys. Please PLEASE PLEASE understand the vision I am pleading with you
