Do you know any fics that has Caryl/pregnancy/baby in it and would link them. I need to read some. Pregnant Carol and Baby Daddy Daryl is everything!!!

Ohh I love getting these asks. Putting all my hours of reading Caryl fan fic to good work. Honestly though baby fics are probably my least read type of fan fics. I won’t avoid them but usually I don’t go out of my way to read them either.

As Dixons Do by ramblinrose (@spanishrose2002) - For whatever reason I never got around to finishing this one (although I’ve just read four chapters again already) but this includes parent Caryl and pregnant Carol. Heavy doses of Merle and Andrea too. Lots of family drama included (on Merle’s side). I liked this one a lot.

a curious speck by lilabut - This one gives an inside view to the first 12 months after having their baby (Sophia is in this one too). It’s just the right of angst mixed with some fluff a good dosage of smut all with some cute family time moments.

illuminate the heart by lilabut ( @singingfirefliess ) - I’ll admit I haven’t read this one before but knowing the author’s writing skills it’s definitely one to read. This is accidental pregnancy story, so it’ll focus on Carol and Daryl’s relationship throughout her pregnancy. In fact to add to this lilabut does a lot of fics with babies and children. I highly recommend them all, she’s a wonderful writer.

Fear and Faith by Noxid Anamchara - This one has some lovely and angsty flashbacks of before the baby was born and some fluffy as fuck moments after.

My favorite, though, is probably where he finds her in the tombs. Favorite Caryl Moment: Probably the moment where Daryl is carrying Carol bridal style out of the tombs, but there isn’t a Caryl moment that I don’t like. What is your desired present (fanfic, drabble sets, graphics, icons, etc.):I would love an image (I don’t really mind how they want to make it) that’s a cute Caryl pregnancy or baby moment, since that’s very much my “thing” within the fandom.

Today, I'd probably go with "New Best Friends" from S7, which is when Daryl finds Carol in her creepy little house outside the Kingdom. Favorite Caryl Moment: The "I see you" scene from the S9 finale will always be my favorite moment from them, closely followed by all the reunion hugs they've shared over all these years, both on TWD and DD. Where Daryl stops fighting and starts to cry as he runs to Caorl and clings to her. The hug in the woods after Carol blows up the cannibals, the “You tell me.” scene where Daryl really drives home that he will always be there for her and she needs to rely on him! The prison scene where he’s mourning Carol but then finds her will live forever in my brain. Carol is always so unsure if people actually want her around but Daryl runs to her every single time they reunite. All the King's Horses | a fanfiction rec

There are certain stories you read that you love to revisit. I have a handful of those and many of them belong to @spanishrose2002. Today I want to rec her story, "All the King's Horses" https://m.fanfiction.net/s/10172374/1/All-The-King-s-Horses I just finished rereading this story for the 6th time, maybe? It's an AU, with Daryl and Carol each as single parents, who meet and come together. What I adore about the story first is the family dynamics. The absolutely fantastic and realistic writing of the children involved, their language and their actions not overly precious or overly bratty or overly intelligent. They're kids, imperfect and adorable and thoughtful. Daryl as a single parent is not something often focused on in stories and it's done so well here, just the style you'd expect from him. Carol, we always see her as a parent, but it's also something incredibly special to see her fall in love with Daryl but his son too. The family and importance of family and the little things that matter more, I just love that. There is also a fantastical, fairy tale element that does something truly wonderful with the narrative. A story that guides our story. You don't realize how deeply you've fallen into that tale, as deeply as the little ones are, til it comes to a close. Not a lot of angst, not really smutty, but well written, emotionally satisfying, well drawn characterizations, and I always walk away from this fanfiction with a smile on my face. Check it out!
