At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

the importance of how to create now.
im online and Im think about how technology is crippling and at the same time awesome. i think of artist before us that did everything old school and made them masters of not only a specific artform but behind it was patience with a bigger machine. i think of orson welles and stanley kubrick if they were alive today, would they shoot on that dogma 95 idea or would they want to push the boundaries and test their limitations with 3d cameras and 5k resolution or would they stick to film? i think if picasso was alive now, would he be on that adobe illustrator or would he stick to a canvas and paint. think of di vinci , would he create the renaissance in italy or in silicon valley? would mozart be on a drum machine? would hemingway have a blog? these are tools that were presented to them in that place and time. i think now, choice is a tremendous factor in ways people express themselves creatively and now more than ever. its cool we live in this time, people can and will flourish in this moment, because they are presented with the options that are more versatile and much more easier to communicate with. it is our duty to kill it every which way possible. you think the dude who found fire just sat on it and let it die? yet, depending on who you are,it can be crippling to see people who have more talent than you, more followers to show more viewers etc. but that should push people to become better. to thrive off of that limitation is something that is important to fuel creativity and imagination. no one can take away your imagination. and its very beautiful because it makes us unique; it makes us who we are and it makes us awesome.
