Exactly. But some writers portray them as fools and ridiculous villains rather than the clever survivors they are -- even Len, who's pretty much defined by his canniness and wisdom in the modern era.

I agree with you -- I thought Kolins went too far in making him look ~70 at times, but I prefer his world-weary decrepit look over his modern hot ones, as I think it captures his history and personality better.

Yeah, if I'm being honest, I'm not really feeling any of these 'Absolute' books. I get that DC's doing the 'underdog hero' theme, but it doesn't interest me thus far…maybe that'll change if the Flash book is witty or well-written. Trickster looks like she'll be edgy and I don't love that idea, but hopefully I'm wrong.

It is. I've got an anxiety disorder too and don't mind some fun being poked at it, but it's nice to have it included and developed into his character instead of just as a "lol Digger's a wussy coward" gag.

Len claimed during this era that he'd outgrown puns, but he still made tortured metaphors such as "you've been flying back and forth like a boomerang" to Owen, so maybe! He also made a lame joke about the Renegades being from the future but the Rogues were going to make them "history" ...I guess it's not easy to workshop new jokes in the field.

You should check it out if you get the urge, though I'd recommend sticking with the earlier seasons and skip the last few. The first season is the best. Ultimately I'm frustrated with the show for overall fumbling the Rogues, but it's still fun to watch.
