Masker / Puppeteer
(this term was made from our experiences but anyone can use.)
A mask/ Puppet is an alter who becomes controlled (or “possessed”) by a different alter or several different alters and influenced in some way, they may be a shell of a person or not have their own thoughts. (They may also have their own thoughts or personality traits.) this can be either willingly or forced upon them. They can also either be harmed by this or helped by this. They may be unaware someone is puppeteering them, or they may know it. They could see themselves as an extension of the Masker/Puppeteer, or see themselves as a separate entity.
(They may also be in a system with non-possessive switches, where alters “turn into” eachother.)
A Masker/Puppeteer are an alter that controls another alter in some way, usually by “becoming”/“possessing” them (though that does not need to be the case) the rest is the same as for the mask.
the mask and masker may not be able to tell their thoughts apart.
the puppeteer may be a persecutor and may misuse their power.
An alter puppeteering another is common in early stages of willomancy and tulpamancy (also known as “forcing”)
(Also in our system masks usually do not see themselves as the puppeteer, while the puppeteer sees themselves as the mask.)

the black and white represent the good and bad that comes from it, the pink fading into pink purple represents the mask, and the purple fading into pink purple represents the masker.
