Happy Mother's Day.

someone i know who's a writer, doesn't like the GDT's version of Victor. cuz it's not what the source material says he is. urgh....
Well neither is Colin Clive or Peter Cushing but I still like them too. A "complete accurate version" was never actually what was promised everyone kind of made that up. There is a super close to the book version I like very much! But we don't need to do that every time that would be very boring and not worth our time would it? I like that the story is given twists and turns from different perspectives. That's art baby!
Last Friday while walking around Monsterpalooza I ran into Adam Jones, guitarist of my favorite band, Tool. I was so excited and shocked, hence the dorky pose. 😅 He was super nice and chill.
Let's throw it back to 2024 Monsterpalooza when I dressed up as Gabriel from Malignant and ran into the contortionist actor from the film. As always the entire costume is made by me.
"It's time to CUT OUT the CANCER!"
This is my Gabriel from Malignant costume I made for Monsterpalooza. The mask is made of silicone. I sculpted, molded, poured, and painted it. My face copy was also done by me from an old face cast. That's made of silicone and foam backing. The coat was thrifted and dyed. The sweater was thrifted as well. The weapon was super last min and not my best. Will be remade for future wears. I had very limited visibility as Gabriel, but the responses were worth it. As Madison, it wasn't as obvious that I was in costume until I turned around.
Happy Friday the 13th and Valentine's Day
You want The Substance. I made these little vials. I mixed polyurethane resin with UV activated colorant. This only glows under black light.
You can get one via my Etsy.
Had to go pay my respects to someone who has obviously been a great influence on me.
