people ask me "why is ur wyatt hayes half filipino??? he's white and blond!!!" when i talk about my cens hcs... his canon appearance is irrelevant to me. since most of the cens dont have canon appearances, i just go by how i imagine them. i see dykstra having some indigenous heritage (i base this on the fact manitoba, from what i remember is the home to 18% of canada's indigenous people if memory serves me right) and chouinard to me has french background. none of the rookies are simply white, they all have mixed backgrounds!!! the cens are THAT team with different types of heritages.

i used to be in this one roleplay where every time the group got together in a chatroom, random, crazy AU things would happen without any sort of discussion beforehand. we had a giant crab army crawl out of the ocean and attack everyone one time led by a queen octopus. and you know what???? that random, makes-no-sense sort of shit was the most fun i have EVER had roleplaying

the rpc seems so focused on realism and doing srs stuff nowadays, i miss the days when people would just write whatever random crap came to their heads and we could actually really explore our imaginations in unrestricted ways. improv’ing when giant crabs suddenly attack did way more for my writing abilities than any of this ~real life~ stuff has and i miss it so much
