South Dakota 💕
The Sherwood Lodge in Spearfish, South Dakota. The mid-century awning is gone but overall, this place doesn’t look too different. It was still a motel up until around 2015. It’s now offers long term rentals.

"Adventures in a Small Town- The Green Bean"
By Joe Geyer
This comes from a photo series about what its like living in a small town. I got the idea from a friend who lives in LA who said that he has never been to a small town. So I figured i would show him what its like in the small town i live in. Spearfish, SD, is a college town. I decided to start with my favorite coffee shop in the area. It is called The Green Bean. It opened up 4 years ago and quickly became a favorite here in spearfish. It is built in what used to be an old home, which gives it its very homey feel. They always have delicious food and drinks with seasonal specials and lots of room to sit and chat with friends.
So i am going to be doing a photo series on the town that i live in. Its called Spearfish, South Dakota. Its a small college town in South Dakota, and through the help of poornamelessslob13, i got the idea to do this series. There are alot of people who live in bigger cities who have never seen the life of a small town. Its a lot slower, more peaceful kind of life and its totally different to living in a big city. I think i am going to start today with my favorite coffee shop called the Green Bean. I will be posting it on my photo tumbler. So if you are interested in following the journey, go follow my other account here: 1:11 Studios. It is going to be a cool journey. Hope you follow me with it. :)
