I am addicted to new journals. When I spotted the DC flag journal from @AppointedCo, I knew it had to be mine. It is simply lined. I also purchased a grid journal embossed with my initials. The bad: the pages are one sided, so it is awkward to do a big spread across 2 pages. In the lined journal, the lines are a little wide. And in the grid journal, the grids are a little small. The good: the covers, binding, and paper quality are top notch. They really are beautiful journals. So I purchased an inexpensive notebook off of Amazon, The Dot Grid Book. It looks like a elementary school workbook on the outside, with its shiny paper cover, but it's filled with dot grid pages. The paper is a little course for my taste but it's a great practice/experimental notebook to practice bullet journaling. Here's a peek at my future log. I also used my new Tombow marker and Pentel Hybrid Technica for the spread. The dots are interesting and they require use of a ruler for sure... but I do enjoy how relaxed I am when it comes to writing. I don't feel the pressure to try and write perfectly. Here's a throwback to when I was in Cali! My friend and did the "street Hike" and ubered through the Hollywood Hills and then walked up a hill or two (read: street) to get to a good viewing point of the sign! Then we had to walk all the way down to the base of the "hills" to get service and call an Uber to get back to our hotel... but it was so worth it!
