Also the ask Zeurel answered by saying that the idea of blind faith will be tackled later in the series is very interesting to me because I've already kind of been rotating that idea with Hivities. Under the assumption that Hivi and Raph will have actual characters outside of being support for their sister, Hivities' character has the potential to go in two interesting directions: either becoming disillusioned with the Primaries because their life role as a scientist makes them question the narrative the Primaries push, OR they continue to blindly trust the Primaries until they are forced to reckon with the fact that doing so makes them a bad scientist.
I have literally no clue where they're planning on going with this, I'm just rotating Hivities in my head right now. We haven't seen much of them yet but what little we've seen stood out to me.
As a fun little extra bit for our assignments on personality disorders (we each got a different one to work on), we had to look up some famous person who has that disorder and write a bit about them. And well, I looked that up. And now I'm mad about the way people speculate about celebrities' private lives and armchair diagnose them. And they're so confident in their speculations. It's annoying.
one thing that amuses me in PB is that everyone, EVERYONE, even Gina, even Mosley, knows that if you want to kill Tommy you have to get at Arthur first.
Because if you do it the other way around, Arthur's morphing into some unkillable angel of vengeance and literally blowing up the entire fucking world with zero thought of consequence at all; kill Tommy first and you've basically declared open apocalypse, right?
But then, what I really adore is that they always plan to kill Arthur separately to Tommy - not together, not blow them up in a car together, none of that - because it must be equally well known that if Arthur dies first, Tommy will just walk into your blade, eyes closed and arms outstretched as if in an embrace?
Jack, the poor thing, probably during their first night together. Mirad was⦠just a bit unsettled. Didnāt say it back.
Tough, Angie is the first one to actually say out loud that she really likes Ellen, but love is brought into play only later. Maybe prefixed with aĀ āhow would you feel if I saidā¦ā
2. Who laughs and kisses their partner on the cheek while their partner isnāt happy about something trivial to try and make them feel better?
Mirad coaxes Jack to talk about it before trying to cheer him up, gives a kiss on the cheek and promises theyāll talk about it properly when heās off work.
Ellen is always ready with kisses, Angie just scoops her up on her lap if the mechanic happens to have a bad day.
3. Who cuddles up to the other after a long day at work, and this soon escalates to a playful pillow fight?
Both are sluts for cuddling but I doubt thereās much pillow fights, Mirad might wrangle Jack to be his pillow and he might weakly resist before settling to be on the bottom.
Ellen demands the attention, Angie playfully smacks her with a pillow, lets herself be defeated and cuddles her in the end.
4. What is something that they gave one another that has a lot of meaning?
Mirad isnāt much for material possessions, and besides, nothing beats Jack waltzing into his bedroom with two boxes of pizza 45 minutes after Mirad has texted him that heās off work because of withdrawal. Pretty similarly Mirad has given Jack his time of the day for comfort or reassure or just for being together.
Angie would give any cool-looking rocks or a bracelet sheās made from random scraps sheās found or gotten otherwise, anything Ellen could give that didnāt cost anything (and didnāt thus leave Angie indebted) is something she appreciates because this means Ellen considered her feelings and didnāt buy anything.
5. How would one another describe their partner?
Mirad just points his thumb to Jackās direction and goesĀ āthat sexy beast over thereā, but otherwise heād just describe him as the kindest, most adorable thing heās ever known.
āWell the most beautiful woman in the Citadel of courseā, but to be more specific, the pretty mechanic in here-and-there.
6. Who wraps their arms around their partner as they look them in the eyes and compliments them with a goofy smile?
Jack, just kinda wondering what on earth did he do to get someone like that
Angie is not quite as used to showing affection so Ellen, at least at first, Angie is a blushing giggling mess
7. Who loves saying āmy wifeā or āmy husbandā or āmy spouseā?
Mirad loves sayingĀ āmy husbandā, but Jack likes it perhaps even more
Angie smiles whenever she saysĀ āmy girlfriendā, at least.
8. Who always talks about how amazing their partner is when their partner isnāt there and they just light up with genuine love and happiness?
Joe knows Mirad is doing it to spite him but itās all in good spirit, he doesnāt mind listening for a while. The fish is happy talking about his new squeeze. However I would think Jack can get overwhelmed to the point of crying when talking about Mirad
Angie doesnāt really have anyone to talk to but if anyone she knows happens to mention Ellen she gets a bit smiley and doofy like yeaaaaaah
9. Who loves it when their partner kisses them good morning?
Both, just mind the morning breath Jack
Both too, itās just weird for Angie, sheās been sleeping under bridges and in shelters for so long that waking up in a bed is all new, much less being kissed awake by a hot girl
10. Who shows the other how to balance a spoon on their nose?
Jack passes time at the bar
Probably Angie, donāt know though
11. Who loves to pull pranks on the other? What type of pranks do they pull and do they pull their pranks off?
MiradāsĀ āpranksā are taking all of Jackās clothes and washing them or coming over when heās gone and cleaning his house up a bit, something nice to cheer him up at least somewhat.
Angie gives Ellen background music for the most mundane of things
12. What is something small that they would randomly pick up for one another?
Anything cool and shiny. A bolt. A rock. A feather Mirad tucks under Jackās headband.
Likewise anything cool like rocks, Angie grabs a dandelion and tucks it behind Ellenās ear.
13. Who is the one who canāt stop laughing when trying to tell a joke?
When Jack is drunk or high and eventually forgets heās even telling a joke
Angie tries to tell jokes that only work in Spanish. Itās funny, I swearā¦
14. Who would plan the other a surprise birthday party?
Neither would care for that too much? They surprise each other in different ways, like Jack cleaning up Miradās place and Mirad arranging Jack a spa night. They know somethingās coming but donāt know what.
Angie would mention like later on that by the way, todayās my birthday and Ellen would freak out like is nobody celebrating it?? It should be celebrated! And Angie regrets ever saying it bc sheās making a fuss and she doesnāt want a fuss. Just a picnic is fine. Angie would spend some of her money for a cupcake and obviously sing her happy birthday
15. Who picks the other person up when hugging their partner?
Mirad lets Jack climb him and holds him there sturdily enough.
If Ellen wraps her legs around Angie, she will hold her up.
the g-man was originally planned to be mentioned in portal 2, back when wheatley was named pendleton
in portal 2, wheatley mentions having been picked up by a bird and put back on his management rail. this seems highly improbable, as wheatley made of metal (and therefore heavy)
the g-man is shown⦠well, āinteracting with birdsā would be a pretty generous way of putting it. but in the wc mappack ickypop map, a bird is shown holding him in the air.
many confusing, seemingly illogical occurences can be explained by a first guardianās influence, and this is no exception. clearly, the g-man has used mystic powers to encourage a bird to pick wheatley up, because it wouldnāt make sense otherwise.
Get a look at V, the new character in Devil May Cry 5, in this two-minute combat montage. For more background on what's going on in this trailer, check out the DMC5 trailer from The Game Awards: https://www.ign.com/videos/2018/12/07/devil-may-cry-5-the-game-awards-2018-extended-trailer
So this confirms the following (sorry if anything stated here is already publicly known, Iāve only seen a few people discussing it!)
. Vās bodyguards cannot kill enemies. only damage them (Griffonās line in the previous trailer implied as much)
. V must finish off enemies with his cane. these finishers vary in range and some are enemy dependent (like Neroās Buster moves in DMC4)
. Damage is indicated by enemy turning purple as they are struck by the Bodyguards.
Before being struck by Shadowās attack:
After:
ExampleĀ of an identical enemy with full coloring:
Ā (this can either be permanent damage or temporary damage that must beĀ āCashed outā before it fades and resets the enemyās health. Iād be more interested in the latter than the former, as thatād push you to coordinate and kill in a timely and concise fashion!)
. Griffon at least is sapient and has some kind of conscious, Shadow and Nightmare have yet to show their own. This could be based on the fact that Griffon was the only DMC1 enemy present here that spoke in the original game.Ā
Raw Speculation
Ā . Based on his actions near the end of the trailer, Iām predicting that V is a spawn of Mundus, possibly a half demon in his own right. While I have no idea how the mechanics of that would work, I do predict that V is looking to unseat the Demon King who controls Qliphoth, the demon tree, and become the true successor to Mundus as Emperor of the UnderworldĀ
Perhaps his demonic heritage is killing him slowly (many noted the large cracks on his face in the earlier trailer) and heās become desperate to gain a suitable body in order to survive?
Regardless, I am PUMPED to play as him! March canāt come soon enough!
