I had some thoughts about spider-Roier. Not a lot but I don't want to delete them and I don't want them in my drafts

--When he got bitten, Roier got more hybrid/mutant traits than most spider people. A whole new set of arms was too much for the bite, but he still has to make up some stories about his odd new look

--for one thing, he got a second set of eyes. Adjusting to that was a nightmare, and it's still easy to get overwhelmed

--He can see almost entirely behind him. The eyes have no eyelashes and thin lids, so he can keep them closed and pass them off as odd markings/tattoos/scars

--He developed a more carnivorous appetite

--Also grew chelicerae! Now that was a nightmare. As a human, he doesn't use them aside from eating, so they're mostly a decorative side effect of the mutation. However, chelicerae in spiders is where the venom is made and stored, which has a couple of effects on Roier

he's not going to bite someone and poison them, it's not strong enough for that, again because it's only a mutation. However he could take it and use it for sleeping droughts

for the same reason, the venom is only produced when he's under a lot of stress. This also makes him prone to illness and throwing up from severe stress and anxiety

the mutation has made him resistant or even immune to some poisons/venoms

--the chelicerae actually retract naturally under his lips. Any mouth movements bigger than talking and they’ll start peeking out like angel bites. They move with his mouth, he can’t keep them held back.

--so also he can shout/hiss/bare his teeth to scare people

So much titty and for why? If it was supposed to be a distraction, it was working, Roier thought. Of course, it helped that the man in front of him was gorgeous.

Focus pendejo! They could be an enemy.

”You can take your mask off you know. We’re allies here.”

Roier frowned, nibbling his bottom lip, not that Black Cat could see it. “You don’t want me to take off the mask.”

”Nonsense, how are you going to eat your food?”

That was a good point. The burger smelled and looked heavenly…and Roier was hungry… “Alright fine. Just promise you won’t look.”

Black Cat shrugged and turned away. Roier pulled down the mask. When he looked back, he watched the vigilante do a double take at the less than half of his burger still left. Thankfully, he decided not to say anything.

Would he run away if he did see?
