what if magical girls were just another branch of the military?

Rather than make Alejandro his world's only Magical Girl (who isn't even a girl), I'm thinking he comes from a universe where Magical Girls are common and have just become another part of everyone's everyday life

There's like 3 Magical Girls per city on average, so they're certainly not rare -- especially when they start forming recognizable teams -- and are just a new type of celebrity

It's common knowledge that Magical Girls

are always female

chosen at a middle school age

get retired upon reaching the age of 23

Legacy Titles

What does being a Legacy Title mean?

Well, an example would be, say, a magical girl named Sunflare. In-universe, the history would say there have been six Sunflare, each who operated at different times.

Magical Girls' power come from Magical Entities that live in Clans/Communities. So there has been like 6 iterations of the magical girl named Sunflare. Each iteration being a different person under the uniform, and each person bonded to a different Magical Entity from the last but each Magical Entity comes from the same Clan/Community.

And this is what makes Alejandro's Bonding so so important because for the First Time in History a Magical Entity has successfully Bonded with 1. a male and 2. someone over the age of 14 (he's 16)

Emphasis on 'successfully' because obviously the government tried to get the Magical Entities to Bond with some of their best military personnel -- all of whom were well over the age of 25

If it ever got out who Alejandro is, it'd be a huge scandal. Hence, the full face mask the other magical girls never get.

There's also the fact that a newly chosen magical girl has to register with their government to be properly trained and sent on missions

Meaning that Alejandro is basically hiding from the government, and when he fights, running from the government too - a bonafide vigilante as any spider-person should be
