A question I've been meaning to ask for awhile about event characters. How come I can get Venom to rank 2 for 48k but none of my other event heroes have the ability to rank up?

Venom was classed as a “premium” type character, so he was uprankable with coin (”significant coin requiements” it says in the FAQ. they aren’t kidding) directly afterward. But F2P characters are only unlocked for ranking at least a month or so, after their event ends. So presumably the other Spider heroes’ ranks will open up soon. 

Though from the AMA it sounds like we may have some changes to the mission board and other technical game ops coming, so that may also be holding it up as they work all that out, but we don’t know anything more than that.

We also don’t know what the ranking process will be for the Daredevil characters except that you will be able to rank them up, eventually. Somehow. Someday.

Spider-Man Event Act II Accomplishment End Summary

Finally! The humongous Spider-man event is over! I mean despite all of its flaws, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I'm kind of sad to see it go, but still very happy to see it gone. As part of a tradition I'm thinking of starting, here is what I was able to accomplish:

- Got Spider-Man to Rank 5! (Which was something I wanted to do in the first act, but at least I was able to get it done! I didn't think I would seeing as he cost about 99 powerful symbiote samples)

- Got Lizard to Rank 5!! (Which I was extremely happy about because, again, I wanted to do that in the first act so I am thankful tinyco allowed me to do so. I adore my precious lizard son)

- Got Spider-Gwen to Rank 5 (I adore her, so I had to definitely get her there. Luckily it wasn't that hard)

- Got Spider-Man 2099 to Rank 5 (I initially only wanted to get him to rank 3 at least, but my decision to focus on character rank-ups instead allowed me to get him this far! Which I am glad for because he looks really great in his spidey suit, although I still love his rank one outfit more)

- Got Electro and Got him to Rank 5 (I was one of the lucky few who was able to get Electro and I adore him. His storyline was great. I also am glad to get him all the way to final rank like I had hope)

- Got Mysterio to Rank 5 (He was a definite to get to Rank 5. Number one priority honestly. The fishbowl is one of my fave spidey villains and I adore this version of him so much)

- Got Miles Morales to Rank 5 (Which was very very close, but I am so happy I was able to. I was hoping they would add him to the game and they did and I will probably adore him forever - although I am a little miffed by his voice)

- Got Venom to Rank 3 (I would have liked to get him to Rank 5, but his item drop rate was terrible. I had enough symbiote samples, but alas. I am happy I at least got him to Rank 3, but it will probably be a long long long long time before I get him to final rank)

- Got Symbiote Black Widow Outfit (Which I was not even planning to try to get, because I don't like random chance, but between my discovery of the airplane mode cheat and $20 promo, I gave in. I'm really glad I have it though because it was very useful and Nat looks freaking amazing)

- Got All of the Decorations! (Which I am happy for because I had to miss many of the ones I liked from the last act. I mean they are all stored away for now until I find a use for them, but, still, nice to have)

The only things from this act I did not achieve were: Amoured Spider-Man Outfit (which I was fine with because I didn't really like it that much and Venom was just too hard), Spider-Gwen Bobblehead (Sad, but I missed out on Black Cat's bobblehead last act so not too upset), and Carnage's Cage Cell. I could have gotten it probably. Mathematically, I think I had enough time and resources, but I decided that I wanted to upgrade my heroes more than getting a decoration. Which I am still happy about my decision because I was able to finish the stories and holy fuck do they need a lot of coins (at least I only have to worry about Venom). I mean, I only have slight regret I didn't get the cage, because I don't have any of the past caged villains, and it looks really cool, but c'est la vie. Overall, I am pretty happy with what I was able to get done. I'd like to thank TinyCo for increasing the Symbiote Sample drop rate, because I probably wouldn't have been able to get half of what I got without it. Now to catch up on the main story and wait for the inevitable next event.

Act II is over, and with that we draw the curtains close on the Spider-Man Mega Event. How did everyone else do? Did you get to accomplish all that you wanted from this event? Would you want another Spider-related event in the future? Are you all ready for the upcoming story update and/or the next event with M.O.D.O.K?
