Bobby found himself walking in a back stage area taking a few photos of everyone working on makeup and warming up. He was offered the job on the fly not really thinking too much about it besides the fact that he just wanted to take pictures. Bobby was planning on keeping double copies and giving a set to the person who was putting on the event. It was something about charity or something like that Bobby wasn’t really paying attention until his eyes caught onto someone that he knew.

At first he wasn’t sure it was Peter but it was his voice and demeanor that gave him away. Taking a few more pictures Bobby turned back the way he came walking down the hallway and back to the sitting area which seemed packed. He was offered a seat in the front row but was told that he could move around and take pictures at different angles.

Favorite Intern

Some time had passed since Pepper had her first talk with Peter. She wanted to check up on the intern, see how things were progressing with his experiments, get a chance to find out what Peter truly wanted to do. She was really impressed with his academic record. Now, the CEO wasn’t quite convinced that was the only reason Tony hired Peter on as an intern, but if it really was the driving reason, Pepper could see why Peter certainly deserved it.

She thought sending an email would be the best for her invitation so she didn’t bother him again in the lab.

I was wondering if you’d be free sometime to meet for lunch?  Just let us know what time works best with your school and lab schedules.  Mr. Stark and I will make it work.

Normaly, he wouldn’t even consider this, but he really wanted to avoid the commotion that would probably come with trying to rob a public university with a full armament of guns. Not that he was expecting to get caught either way, but the point of a good strategy was to limit the chances disaster as much as possible. So here he was, right side of his face itching with synthetic skin and limited to no depth perception as a result of the eyepatch over his left eye. Here’s to hoping this ends up being the quick and painless trip he planned for.

It was late in the evening, so the university was mostly emtpy aside from the few stragglers with night classes hanging around and studying late. That and the key cards encoded by the Professor made seeking out his target fairly simple, even if some of the curious students still gave him odd looks overtop their computer screens. Now all that remained was getting to the end of this hallway and into the lab of the space-time researchers.

Running that was something Kate had been doing a lot lately. Though, this time it was because she was trying to be a bit early than normal. She really didn’t want to clean the dishes again. It was growing on her the cleaning part not the dry hands. Managing to make it in the door Kate skidded to a stop putting her hands behind her head with a grin. Her chest rose and fell as Kate tried to get her breath back. It was very rare for Kate to be on time. How she managed to be so early today was beyond her.  Taking a moment before heading back into the kitchen area Kate looked around.

She never had the chance to do so before and that was mainly because she was always late. Not really having the chance to look at peoples faces before she was staring down at the fogged dish water. Kate’s mouth twisted when she noted that most of the people here were a bit older than her. It didn’t discourage her though she figured she wouldn’t talk much to a large percentage. “Well, maybe it was best that I just did the dishes.” Kate said it quietly to herself as she walked over to the sinks to begin filling them with water.

Hot Pursuit

“You--can’t escape--the law,” he wheezes, running after a horde of drug dealers that just got done beating up a homeless guy for fun. Let’s be honest, Wade doesn’t really care about the drugs part, but these assholes were going to town on some defenseless guy right outside his favorite taco stand. And it’s not even noon. “Really need to work on my cardio,” he pants, unholstering one of his pistols. “C’mere, you filthy animals.” He aims while sprinting and lands a shot in-between one of the fucker’s shoulder blades. Ooh, that’s messy. 

Wade ducks and rolls when the assholes start firing back at him, shooting mid-roll and catching one dickhead between the legs. And that’s right about when he realizes that there are civilians on this sidewalk. Shit. Shit, shit. They’re coming up to to a bridge--desperate, heroic times call for desperate measures. “Citizens! Prepare to be violently thrown to safety!” Wade shoves some soccer mom and her kid off the bridge just as machine gun fire punctures the concrete railing with bullets. “You too, Mark Zuckerberg,” he says, punting a scrawny-looking teenager over the railing with them.

Meeting the Employees

Not that Pepper didn’t care about all the employees at Stark Industries, but obviously as CEO, she wasn’t in a position to take notice of every single new employee that was hired on a daily basis.

But signing off on a new employee’s security clearance that just so happened to be for Tony’s own personal workshop?...

That caught her interest.

She read every piece of paper in the intern’s HR file, but it just left her with only more questions. Certainly, Pepper didn’t have a problem with Tony taking on interns, and of course, he’d have his own criteria for choosing his own interns. The problem with no longer dating someone was, you couldn’t exactly ask them why someone was suddenly in their life.

So, Pepper signed off on the clearance request from HR and bid her time. It took two weeks, but there was a day when Pepper knew Tony had to attend a video conference with General Ross, and according to their system, the intern hadn’t used his key card to leave the lab yet... Now was her chance.

Pepper entered the lab, still knowing her way around, quickly spotting the new intern. She put on a polite smile as she walked over to him, approaching him from the side, hoping not to startle him. “Peter...Parker, I presume?” she greeted him.
