Arachkids headcanons because I'm bored (ft. Spiderdads)
Miles-42 is the shortest in the group, and he HATES it. This leads to relentless teasing, especially from Hobie (who is the only one not at least a little scared of Miles-42)
Hobie takes stairs 2 at a time. Always.
Miles cried when he heard that Miguel and Peter B were together
Pavitr will tell Miles and Gwen to "get a room" at the smallest things. They're holding hands? Get a room. They're sitting next to each other? Get a room. They looked at each other for more then 2 seconds? Get a room.
Hobie likes to joke that his type is Miles Morales, since he's dating both Miles and Miles-42.
Pavitr will paint Hobie's nails at every chance he gets.

Soooooo, as you know I’ve been getting back into Twisted Wonderland after a couple years of not engaging in the fandom. It’s definitely been awhile. If anyone remembers, I used to make posts about it all the time!

Hobie Brown Headcanons Cause Politics Is Scary
I dont know how to open this so I'm just gonna get right into bullet points
• Love language: physical touch. If you're his friend (or partner but this isnt exclusively romantic) and haven't expressed discomfort, dude is touching you at all times. Holding on to your wallet chain with his index finger while you're walking, leg crossed over yours on the couch, leaning on eachother on the bus or train, all the shoulder pats in the world, shakes your shoulders when he's excited, especially when proud of something you've done.
•He meant it when they said they dont like lables. Even for romantic relationships, he's not gonna be like "oh we're dating" or "oh they're my girlfriend/boyfriend" no- but he still has loyalty and is not a cheater. He's comfortable with the term lover/partner but may not always say it like that. He will respect exclusivity, and will respect boundaries, but no sets of boundaries between two people will be the same, so they're set individually.
•She's genderfluid. You can NOT look at Hobie MF Brown and tell me thats exclusively he/him and exclusively attracted to women. (I also am, trust the link)
•At least 1 in 5 concerts are free. Babes has to eat, but the music is about the message, and they cant fathom talking about anticapitalism and accessability without practicing it in their activism.
• loves drawing on eachother. Especially if you have like tattoo or skin safe markers, he is your canvas. Definitely does it casually and for fun, but for shows? Likely has requests. Example: "'Ey, lovie, y'know tha' ting you drew this mornin' wi' the broken crown? Put i' righ' 'ere f'me, yea?" While patting the side of his bicep with a splayed hand, asking this while getting ready for a show. Also, I can speak with a british accent- not write with one-😭pls be gentle
• Is your design tailor. You want a shirt of a band or with a certain image but its expensive or just not on a shirt? She's already at the thrift store picking up a black shirt with your perferred sleeve style (if they can find it) to bleach the logo/lyrics/design on it. Like a certain kind of shirt or pants you saw in a drawing or show but cant find it anywhere? Same thing, either drawing it on with fabric markers or DIY markers made from empty markers refilled with tyedye (I have never written that word before how tf do you spell that)
•Loves gardening. Its not a secret, he just doesn't have time for the real deal. Occassionally, he'll get some tomatoes, okra, herbs, squash, or annual fruits to grow in pots on the deck of his boat. Always shares with friends and loved ones when he does. I also like to think he'd use it to put together little bagged meals whether that be sandwiches or whatever he can think of, and takes it out to give to homeless folks or people he knows are struggling with money.
•They're very sweet when they're sleepy😭 will 100% keep you in bed til the very last minute if you're partners.
•Affectionate with his friends, like not making them uncomfortable, but if you're down to cuddle he is ON THAT. Movie nights and game nights are his favorite because most of the time, people can and want to sleepover. He loves getting up for juice in the middle of the night and being surrounded by people he loves, knowing they're alive, safe, resting, and that he's not alone. Especially with the spider-band (riri, karl, kamala) and the arachkids (miles, gwen, pav, margo, noir if they can get him to come) because being a vigilante himself, he knows its very taxing and very dangerous, so it's nice to have them sleeping soundly throughout his home.
•I know they fw Margo. Maybe not super close, but he knows a thing or two about neglectful/problematic parents. That's at least something to empathize with. I like to think she taught him a lot about 2099 tech. I still believed he figured out a lot of it on his own, but he occassionally comes to visit and they just chat about it and how it works, and they love sharing upcoming projects and occasionally working on them together.

Of course 🕸️that's not too specific at all! I'm sorry it's taken me a minute to get to, but I hope you're feeling a little bit better :) And I hope this is okay!!
Given that he's Spider-Punk, he'd have immaculate music taste and once he gets to know you, shares it with you too! It's something you bond over, even if you're not exactly into the subculture just yet.
He casually recommends you some bands like the Bad Brains, or The Muslims, just because it's stuff he thinks you'd be interested in. You give 'em a listen and after just general interest, you find yourself falling deeper into the culture as a whole. It's not just about the music of course, so you delve a little deeper into what it actually is.
Once you do though, your kind of unsure of what it means to you. How to really immerse in it. So much of it resonates with you and you want your own perception of it, but you're not quite sure where to start. That doesn't mean you don't have a good example though! Hobie's a ton of inspiration.
I can imagine that when he finds out, he's nothing but supportive. Like, he gets genuinely excited, eyes lit up and everything. He has someone who's into the same thing he is? Hell, yeah he'd be into it. "Wait, really? Thas' amazin'! No, really. You think I'd lie to ya? Pfft no chance mate. I'm just excited we got somethin' in common!"
He'll try to hang out with you more often now that he knows you're both into the same thing! Not only is it something you can both talk about, but it brings you closer.
He doesn't mind at all if you take inspiration from him or "copy" him. He knows it's not the easiest to figure your way out with this sort of thing. He wants you to have your own thing, but he's cool with it either way. Even giving you some advice and especially helping you out whenever you need it.
Brings you to his shows and even teaches you how to play if you're interested! (Or if you play a different instrument, you play together) If music's something you bond over that is. If not, he finds other ways to share it with you/get into it.
Fuck societal and gender norms, you two do whatever you want. The more people who're just utterly confused, the better because hey, it's not their life!
And fuck capitalism too, in every way. You pirate, help out those who need it whenever you can regardless of their "status," and just do/be whatever you want. That's the whole point of it anyway, and Hobie couldn't be happier to do it with you.
And really, you both are like two peas in a pod. Different yeah, but always there for each other. You're friends! And being a part of the same subculture only brings you closer together. Even if you weren't, you'd still be close, but it's just nice to have that. Plus, Hobie's got someone else to relate to and he wouldn't trade that for anything 🖤
everyone, I present to you, the only Miles 'stealing' headcanon I will ever have: he accidentally 'stole' a crayon some airline provided him when he was five (i.e. took it without realizing because he didn't even realize he was holding onto it) and cried for a whole hour after and begged his dad to arrest him all while the latter just. comforted him like "baby its ok"
