Summary: Your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman, Han Jisung was running late and still had to save the day. Unfortunately enough, his superheroic action was caught in action by someone.

“Where the hell are you, Han Jisung?!” Seungmin’s voice bombed out as soon as Jisung answered the call, causing the black-haired boy to peel off the phone from his ear. His friend sure knew how to make his ear bleed.
“I’m on my way, Seungmin, I promise!” Jisung replied, shoving his small figure through the crowd on the street sidewalk. Why did the neighbourhood get so packed this morning? Did he miss a notice or something? Whatever, he needed to be at the university before Seungmin could do anything with his precious secret.
“On the street or in your bed, huh?”
“Seungmin, I’m walking right now.”
“You should pick up your speed. You’re making everyone wait for you, Director Han” Seungmin emphasises his last sentence before ending the call. A sigh escaped from Jisung’s lips as he escaped the crowd in front of his apartment. If only he could swing from one street lamp to another to arrive at his destination much quicker, he knew better than to avoid commotion. Mr Stark took his suit for a week after an accident. It wasn’t his fault that someone suddenly snuck up to him and revealed his identity to the world.
Okay, partially maybe it was his fault because he chose the university’s male bathroom out of all places to change into his suit. Fear not, Mr Stark had cleared up his name. He had saved Jisung’s ass again. He was grateful that the guy still accepted him as part of the Avengers with his clumsiness.
He glanced at the pedestrian sign, the platform of his shoe stomping impatiently against the concrete as he waited for the red to change into green. He peeked into his sling bag, fingers running through its inventory to confirm he brought everything. He was overwhelmed by excitement last night when he finally received his suit back with a brand-new upgrade that he seemed to forget to check his bag.
His feet began crossing the road as he heard a ‘ting’ from the pedestrian sign. He looked back up when he was satisfied. Fastened his speed, he bumped into someone who was in a rush. The impact of their contact caused the male to fall to his butt. Something sharp had grazed his arm. He touched the now-torn part of his jacket, finding out his arm had bled.
Never mind, he could treat it later.
The stranger quickly gathered the stuff that had fallen from the brown bag and apologized to Jisung
“It’s fine…” Jisung narrowed his eyes as suspicion grew in him. That bag looked too girlish for it to belong to a man, moreover for a man wearing a beanie and jacket on a screeching hot summer day. He felt his arm tugged harshly, making him jolt in surprise as he snapped his head to his side. A girl with endless tears pouring down her cheeks was staring at him. He gulped, unsure how to handle the situation.
“Help! That guy stole my bag! Please, my house key is in there.”
Oh, a chance to prove himself!
Jisung placed a reassuring grip on the girl’s shoulder. “I will bring the bag to you.”
He rushed to a quiet alley and threw his bag away. He took off his clothes, revealing his loosened Spiderman suit underneath. He pressed the symbol on his chest and the suit tightened itself around his body. He put on his mask and shot a web to a streetlight. Tugging on the string, he swung himself past the lamp and threw himself into the air, eyes ran throughout the city in search of that shady man.
“Hey, can you search for the man?”
“Absolutely, Peter.” A woman’s voice spoke inside the mask. The system instantly ran a face recognition to everyone that they passed through.
“He is on your right, Peter.” He immediately snapped his head to the side. This new upgrade is amazing!
“Found you!” He grinned under his mask and shot another web to a nearby building. He straightened his legs as he flew, aiming at the man’s body. He let go of the silk, sending the man flying across the alleyway. The man slammed into the wall with a huge thud meanwhile Jisung landed safely on the ground. The black-haired man shut his right eye, and a soft ‘ouch’ left his lips as he registered the pain that the man felt.
“That must be painful...sorry, man.”
He approached the man and snatched the bag from his shoulder.
“I’m taking that, thank you.” He glanced at that male on the ground, hands resting on his hips. The criminal would run away when he returned to his consciousness. He wrapped the man in his web and stuck a note on the man’s forehead - Please send him to the police, thanks! - Spiderman.
“Glad, I ask Happy to make a pocket on this suit.”
“You really good at taking the opportunity from me to appear as a hero to someone.” Someone uttered in front of him. He spun around and he gulped for the second time today.
Minho…What is he doing here?!
At the university gym
“Felix, where is Minho?” Seungmin asked
“He forgets his script at home. He is running at full speed as we speak.” Felix patted the vacant seat beside him, inviting the boy to take a small break. Seungmin exhaled a deep breath from his nose and settled down. He watched Chan set up the props for today’s shooting as his thumbs massaged his forehead.
“Are you sure, lix? They aren’t going for a date, right?” Hyunjin interrupted, raising his brows.
“Staring at someone for a long time doesn’t mean they like them-”
“You meant staring at someone with adoration?” Hyunjin giggled and left them, helping Jeongin who was struggling with the lamp.
“Ignore him, Seungmin. I’m sure they will arrive soon”
“I hope so”
Back to the alleyway
“Wow, young man, relax!” Jisung raised his hand up. He didn’t expect to see his actor here, sweat beamed at the side of his face. Jisung’s heart thumped, afraid Minho would recognise him from his voice or was it for something else? Minho chuckled and punched Jisung’s arm.
“Ouch! What was that for, Min—” His hand automatically reached for his mouth and cleared his throat when Minho looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.
“Your voice sounds familiar.”
“Oh? I think you misheard me!” Jisung quickly deepened his voice. If Seungmin heard him, he was sure the brown-haired male would laugh his ass off and commented on how pathetic it sounded.
“I’m sure, I don’t”
He took a step forward and Jisung stepped back.
“What are you hiding, spidey?”
Jisung’s eyes widened. Uh oh- did he know?
Minho’s expression quickly wore off as if a director had screamed ‘cut’.
“I was joking, don’t take it personally, spidey. Anyway, your arm is bleeding.” Minho pointed to his bleeding arm. Jisung awkwardly giggled and covered it with his hand. Minho rummaged through his jeans pocket and took out a kitty-decorated band-aid. He handed it to Jisung.
“It’s not much but at least it helps for now.” Minho smiled and Jisung swore the temperature inside the mask raised until he couldn’t breathe properly. God, he wanted to get rid of his mask now.
“Thank you. I will go now or someone will kill me” Jisung rushed back to the girl, leaving Minho alone.
“He seems familiar, though,” He thought as he returned to the university.
At the university
“Han Jisung, there you are!” Seungmin scowled, dragging Jisung to the gym, giving little time to the poor boy to properly gain his strength and breathe back.
“I’m sorry, Seung! Someone needed my help”
“Everybody is waiting for you and you dared to put up a little Spiderman show?! I thought Mr Stark took your suit?”
“Happy returned it yesterday and you need to see what Mr Stark had done with my suit!”
“Whatever, I'm just relieved you made it here in one piece. I will after this.”
They entered the gym and every eye glimmered excitedly as the director was finally here.
“I’m sorry for being late! Let’s get over with this scene!” Jisung placed his jacket away and grabbed the megaphone from the stage.
“Okay, Felix and Minho in your position!” Minho stole a glance at Jisung and noticed the band-aid on Jisung’s arm. It looked identical to the one he gave to Spiderman earlier.
“Hey, Minho! Quit staring at our director or we won’t complete today’s shooting!” Hyunjin who was beside Jisung shouted before a grin dominated his face.
“I didn’t stare at him for the record, Hwang!” Minho paid his attention back to Felix.
Huh…Han Jisung, you are keeping a secret from everyone.
HEYYYYY,so here I am once again and I finally read love(bug) and the squal! 😼 GIRL,IT WAS LITERALLY SOOOO GOOD,NO WONDER IT'S THE MOST POPULAR ONE ON YOUR BLOG. (Even if I also REALLY love the others-)
I love the way you wrote with these times and then what reader and Leehan is doing in that moment,it kind of gave me a satisfiying (is it right written like that? Pls help,idk 😭) feeling. The way he potrayed nerd Leehan as well,it was sooo cute,how he couldn't look reader in the eye at the start as an example and it fits well with his love for fish! And when they finally finished the project and spent time,but sadly he had to go then-
Also,when reader put one and one tgt I def didn't expect her to suddenly be his patner and helper,helping him? THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD IDEA? And I internally screamed when at the end reader kissed his cheek! But then I was be like "WAIT WHAT? IT'S ALREADY FINISHED? HOW DID READIMG THESE 7K GO SO FAST?" I tell you,you really have a way of making me sink into the story and feel like it's not that long 😭
To the squal. Once again loved that with 6:30 am etc. As well when reader was helping more activally 🥹. But when Spider-man Leehan was lowkey cocky I was thinking like "wow,wow,wow 🤨✋️ where did cute nerd Hannie go?" But it's only when he is spider-man afterall- Anyway,I was sad when the "date" got interrupted at the amusement park 😞💔 but he has to save people. But it was soooo cute the moment the little kid 🥹🥹🥹 I was literally having cuteness aggression of the fic and melting! Also when the sandman came up,I was in my mind like:"THAT WAS AN EASTER EGG-" ik it was before you posted sandman but that subtle drop is really cool 🥹. Anywayss, I was kicking my feet and giggling at the aquarium scene and when he FINALLY asked her out! Cause it was soooo cute and I also love aquariums irl (probs mainly bcs of anime and manga and even if I was only once at one-) but these are such a perfect date place! I also want to have a date there in the future 😭 ESPECIALLY the start setence with (I can't remember it exactly anymore sadly bcs my memory isn't really good except when it's about school or songs-) how blue really fits Leehan,it was suchhh a good start into the next paragh in my opinion. And when they got matching keychains it was also so ahdhjrbrbf. But ofc another villian ruined it-
So,I was really disappointed when Leehan started avoiding reader after that ,I mean,I can totally understand it but I want them tgt ☹️. So I was happy when they really got tgt amd made up! But tbh I was a bit confused when they made up bcs suddenly from angry and frustrated it turned fast into fluff? I don't want it to be mean,I was just a bit confused how fast it went 😭. OVERALL I REALLY LOVED THE FIC. 10/10,ALSO ONE OF MY FAVS FROM YOU NOW.
Oh,and once again,I finished reading love(bug) yesterday and started the squal today before getting ready for school and a read also a bit on the way to school. And after school omw back home I wanted to continue reading and when I scrolled down I saw how fast and much I already read?! It didn't feel like I already read that much 😭 your fics are just soo good.
Also,a question. You said that now after seeker,smitten is finished you want to focus on your next Taesan fic and the final part of love(bug). But tbh I thought the squal was the final part? 🤔

the timestamps, ah yes! it was such a random idea i don't even remember how i got it tbh. but im so happy i went with it because it gives the story a circular narration AND gives me a lot of opportunities to parallel scenes and feelings (you'll see more of this in the finale for sure!)
i needed a tony stark fill-in since there is no way leehan in my story would be building cool suits and gadgets when his niche is fish lol. hence why i made reader the tech-savvy genius (and it ties in with how smart she is and gives her a gwen stacy feel fs)
cocky leehan was so fun to write haha, i think the suit would give him a little more confidence and most of his nerdy-cute-shyness is reserved for reader anyway XD. OMG SANDMAN! did not think anyone would pick up on it! i did in fact write sandman almost immediately after pt2 of lovebug so it was like a half-intentional easter egg hehe
i rlly like that scene too,, i was quite proud of myself for the "leehan looks beautiful in blue" ngl. really fits the aquarium aesthetics. GOSH i too love me an aquarium date arc in mangas! and i love going there too, most of the stuff i wrote in this fic was pulled out from the pics i had from visiting sea life last december haha
oh yeah the angry to fluff scene (you're not mean dw, i take constructive criticism really well if ive asked for it in the first place).. I HAD THE SAME FEELING AS YOU DID WHEN I POSTED/ REREAD IT SADLY :( i do wish i had more time to develop that scene but if u were here before i posted part 2, you'll know how anxious i used to be about word counts. i cut down so much just to get it down to a 7k T-T. however, i think i can still justify the switch of feelings because they're both very high on emotions and sometimes, frustration is the best way to build a make-out scene hehe. i don't think it was that unrealistic tbh, but i also think they'd have had a deeper, more sensible conversation behind the scenes (some time would have passed between the kiss and the cuddling y'know... but that's implied, not explicitly stated). but also, hey, sometimes ppl just need to kiss and make up to be happy 😌 (literally) also teenage hormones go whee whoo y'know
but for the final part, i'm not holding back with the word count. im writing it for the people that rlly stuck through the first two parts and cared enough about the characters, so hopefully, no more confusing scenes 😭 (i've learnt from seeker, smitten that for me to be truly satisfied with my own writing, i need to stop giving a shit and take as many words to build my story lol) since those are the ones that people tend to have more to say about too!
sequel is not the final part! i threw in a hint in my tags for pt2 lol, i knew no one would expand it to catch it though. since all the spiderman movies are trilogies (or intended to be) i decided to pay my respects and do the same! so much of my reasons for wanting to even write a sequel was to write some classic spidey scenes from the movies (i talked about it in these asks - 1, 2 ) AND there are some scenes that i want to write for in the finale bcs of how attached i am to the og spiderman (2003) and tasm 2.
currently im still in the brainstorming/outlining part of it T-T its a hard one to plot for ngl (but my lovely junebug @mwotgata is doing god's work by being my go-to spidey expert <333). i hope u do enjoy it when it comes out (the teaser should be out some time before release so do look forward to that!)
