I've decided to share some of my behind-the-scenes stuff with Hanakotoba! I don't know how other people plan out their fics, but I'm the type of person who handwrites EVERYTHING. I can't help it - it helps keep me organized. The only thing not handwritten is the actual fic itself.

These are just a few examples of how I plan out events in the story and how I keep track of things happening and when. I honestly probably have around 100 or so other handwritten pages filled with ideas, plans, etc.

Does anyone else do this or am I just crazy? •⩊•

I got my Mob Psycho tattoo today and I'm just in love with it. My artist did such a great job with it and I can't get over it ahhhhh!!! ♡♡

I mentioned in my latest author's note that I'd try to start posting more behind the scenes for my Hanakotoba fic so lets start out with what the Plants and Such Nursery is based on!

I first discovered Cotoha, a plant store in Kyoto Japan, back during covid lockdowns and I instantly fell in love with their aesthetic. So much so that I immediately started planning Hanakotoba lol

The first image is a hand drawn map of how Plants and Such looks based on the real-life inspiration! The outside area with the greenhouse as well as the second floor is completely made up and just added on.

I actually got to visit this plant store when my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Japan. I was over the moon to see it in person, 3 years after first discovering it. The last image is me in front of their sign!
