If I could, I would go back and hug my younger self for writing all those times when she really felt like drowning. You saved us both, baby girl. You kept us soft and brought us this far.

Sometimes we meet people that just immediately become part of our lives. No awkward dancing around each other at the beginning. No getting to know them casually over months. They are just there and intend to stay. You can never really recall what it was that made you friends. What hard work it might have taken because it came just as naturally as waking up every morning. There is no sorcery to it. Or maybe a lot. Your pick.
It’s your fault.
I am about to blame a lot of people right now. Because it's your fault. You wanted a mad world, you all thought you were mad. Now mad is normal... You wanted to live in a crazy, mad world. Now you have it. Hope you enjoy it, for what's worth. Because this is your fault for wishing for the Mad Hatter, wishing for the Cheshire Cat. It's your fault for wanting to be Alice in a wonderland. You just forgot that the wonderland is a nightmare when applied to reality.
I could have a playlist with all of the songs I thought would fit in the story. I could have you pinned on my desktop while I stared blankly onto it. I could move the mountains just up high to see where this is going. I could play the orchestra all by myself and watch the spectators gaze in awe. But I could never, ever, take off the feelings for they were never planes that could fly, magnets that could repel, or dust to be brushed off—they’re simply there, simply having a coffee break while the sun peeks like a brand new soul-mate. I realized a thing while the sun does the thing and it goes like this: someone would always punch a hole in that heart of yours; someone would always make you listen to that song which perfectly defines the story; someone would make you fall and feel like it’s heaven; someone would make you play the orchestra even if it’s difficult and in the end, we ask ourselves: who are we? Who do we value and who do we love? Are they the songs or the pictures of thousand lights blinking before you? Answer the question because I could really have a playlist with all of the songs I thought would fit in this story. I could have…I would have.

i spent so much time thinking about the moments you and i made together over the years, from laughing to crying together in the rain with a half bottle of vodka in your pocket, the moments we’d yet to make in the years coming, moving in together like we said, throwing parties and laughing all night long; but now i can’t stop thinking about the memories that will never be because you threw me away like that half bottle when it was finished
