Toys From Trash | How To Make Spinning Top / Lattu | 90’s Kids Toy
Have a waste plastic bottle in your home and want to teach your kids about the concept of recycling and reusing. Then there is a fun and creative way of instilling these values into your kids.
In this DIY project, we'll create a fascinating spinning top from waste materials, transforming trash into a fun and eco-friendly toy. This spinning top is made using two plastic bottle caps, a skewer, a piece of thread, and a plastic bottle cut in half. It’s an engaging way to entertain while encouraging recycling and sparking creativity.
First, gather your materials: two plastic bottle caps, a skewer, a piece of thread, and a plastic bottle cut in half. Begin by glueing the two bottle caps together to form the central part of the spinning top. Next, make a hole in the centre of the joined caps to insert the skewer. Carefully insert the skewer through the centre of the caps, which will serve as the spinning axis for your top.
Wrap the thread around the caps and attach it to the ring as shown in the video. Once the spinning top is assembled, place it on the open end of the half bottle. Hold the thread firmly and pull it quickly to set the top in motion. This easy and fun project not only provides hours of entertainment but also promotes recycling and creative use of everyday waste materials.
