Next one up on the nostalgia train! This was the second costume I ever made, and the first that was done completely by myself ( mom helped with the first). I know I'm missing the undershirt and my hair is wring, but it's authentic to my original cosplay self. Authentically crappy . It's fairly common in Chinese American communities to have children go to Chinese schools so they can learn the language and the culture. At mine, we would occasionally watch anime movies. It was less awesome than it sounds. Most of the movies where anime is generally watched in Japanese dub with Chinese subs. As a kid who couldn't really read Chinese or understand Japanese, most of it was gibberish. Somehow, I could understand Spirited Away. . Where I was this weekend. #acen2018 #studioghiblicosplay #spiritedawaycosplay #kikisdeliveryservicecosplay #princessmononokecosplay All three Hakus 🐉 were amazing, and the humanoid one was very friendly. Fav anime of all time. Didn't take very many other pics (besides these on IG) because the crowds (>30k) were overwhelming in most other areas and my anxiety was like "Nope". (at Anime Central)
