Okay, so I have NO IDEA if this is actually spoilers for Splatoon 2 solo or not, this is pure speculation on my part (and no one spoil me if you actually know the answer!) but I’m tagging it anyway JUST IN CASE.

So uh. Ruh-lea-no. Kind of sounds like it could be Ma-ri-na, if it’s all staticky?? Maybe?? This might just be total misdirection. It’s probably not ACTUALLY Marina, but I’m willing to bet the big boss is going to be related to Marina somehow. Pointing out the femininity of the new apparent head of the octolings (which I noticed when fighting them too! I was like, oh my god, these girls are such girls and they are such pretty girls and also I love them even tho they can totally kick my ass) and the convenient similarity of what we’re overhearing on the radio seems a little..... f i s h y. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that our new star is an octoling and the octolings continue to be the Bad Guys in solo, I defs think they’re gonna have to address Marina at some point.

Or maybe “Lea” is the tail-end of “Callie”?? You know she’s gotta be squidnapped by the octolings.

Also I love Marie. You guys I love Marie so much. What a sassy motherfucker.
