17. Did you make any big permanent changes this year? Absolutely! Finished my 5,5 years long education, aka I got my teaching degree, and moved out from the student flat I lived in for most of that time. This was in April. Then I spent the rest of the year trying to adjust, I guess, in a new part of town, I started working more hours at my job as a care assistant because I don’t really know where to go from here. And idk if the depression I fell back into was a result of that or if it was just bad timing, but… it certainly hasn’t helped… but yes it feels like my whole life was flipped upside down this year and I’ve been too exhausted to flip it back lmao. Hoping 2022 brings change but in a better way. Idk I’m optimistic :)
18. What was one nice thing you did for someone else? Help I feel like I’ve been bad at doing nice things for others lately... idk I have helped two of my friends out with their cats a lot, both by looking after the cats when needed and endlessly calming and reassuring the worried cat parents lol.
19. What was one nice thing you did for yourself? Ok but I think the nicest thing has been being so forgiving of myself this year and not beating myself up for having a shitty, unproductive year. Maybe I needed a couple months off after so many years of academic stress. Not putting too much pressure on myself was a skill that took me over a decade to master, but in all honesty it’s one I freaking love to exercise now.
