Sometimes a parent wonders "Is their sacrifice worth it?" then the day comes when you see them celebrate with their team, the joy in their eyes, and the pride of a goal very few get to experience. It is in that moment the answer comes in tears and a heart filled up, you know the answer is "yes". I have witnessed this week an ACL recovery become player of the year, a bullied player go to the NCAA tournament as a contributing freshman, a team be down 3-18 with players go down with injuries to come back to win 41-39, a player who thought her time in the sport was done go to Nationals and receive athletic honors, and my flyer and her team's accomplishments so far. And to the parent currently questioning, "is their sacrifice worth it?"
